Adjacent to a wildlife rehabilitation refuge for fawns, you are very likely to see deer as well as squirrels, rabbits, otters, eagles, etc. The lower deck is furnished for relaxation and includes a porch swing, charcoal grill and a propane gas fire pit perfect for making s'mores. Launch your small creek boat or kayak at the gravel launch area or nearby at the small public launch. Enjoy great fishing, wildlife viewing, walking or shooting hoops on the concrete pad. The lodge is convenient to world-class BBQ including the Skylight Inn and Bum's BBQ or multiple other dine in or fast food restaurants serving a wide variety of foods. Conveniently located between Greenville and Kinston, this is perfect for attending local ECU football games (30 min.), graduations, or for access to ECU Health Medical Center (25 min.) and UNC Lenoir Hospital (17 min.) . Two stop signs away from the new Greenville bypass, local trips to and from Greenville are quick and easy. This beautiful log cabin has vaulted ceilings and a balcony common area with lots of exposed beams for that warm, cozy feeling that only a log cabin has. The kitchen is well furnished with all appliances and includes a dishwasher, microwave, toaster and dual-service coffee maker for coffee by the pot or the cup. Basic condiments and spices are provided. Bring your groceries or shop for them a mere 10 minutes away in Ayden.
