The place was clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were well-stocked with toilet paper and hand soap. I appreciated the easy check-in and check-out. I had trouble with the door (user error) and the host responded quickly to help. I had a good night!
Very good accommodations. Would have liked an 11 am or 12 noon check-out with an extra charge.

Looks like pictures. Hostess was super and very responsive!! Good size. Could be cleaner-exterior, front window door, couch. Small things like needs towel rack and toilet paper holder hung in bath. Overall good stay for ECU weekend.
The air conditioner didn’t work, the temperature was upper 80s to lower 90s with the humidity it was unbearable, I was in constant contact with host about the air conditioning she kept telling me scenarios about it not working because the prior tenants left it on too low and it froze again. told me to check closet to see if it had ice on it. there was no ice, ducts didn’t even feel cold. Thermostat wasn’t working, She said it was smart AC that she had remote controlled it from her phone, she tried to turn down temp from her phone she said it didn’t work either. 2:00 am I texted it was so hot please try to do something Then next morning on the last day of our stay somehow the condenser unit outside finally came on. very confused and very irritated because nothing changed but somehow it finally came on. 30 minutes later technicians showed up, I told them it started working before you got here. If she could control it remotely, you do the math. She told VRBO that AC was working, that I lied and stoled all her towels and cleaning products. We don’t use any linens or towels, we always bring our own. Why would I steal something that we wouldn’t use, she’s desperately trying to put some sort of blame on me.I have all proof pics and messages, please send me proof of stolen towels and cleaning products, host is so cheap she wouldn’t turn on AC for guests. Unacceptable! She gave No compensation or remorse for inconvenience. Horribly unprofessional, DONT STAY LOOK ELSEWHERE God Bless

Thank you for your review. I’d like to set the record straight for future guests.
The AC was set to away mode, which has a max temp of 75, and the google nest turns on when guests arrive beachside it senses that a person is home. For you, I turned this feature off and set it to 70 to run full time for your comfort. The google nest is able to be controlled by the guest.
As soon as you informed me of the issue not being resolved I called a hvac company to go check on the unit, since it had been repaired 3 weeks prior. They went to check and found it in working order. I still do not know why during your stay it did not seem to work, all I know is before you arrived and after you left it was working normally.
Lastly, I had graciously offered a discount due to your complaints, only to find when I went there immediately after your check out that you had stolen several items: including 226 load size laundry detergent, all the toilet paper and paper towels, sponges and hand soap, which was in the owners closet and for future bookings and turn arounds. Towels were also missing as I leave exactly 4 towels, 5 hand towels, and 4 washcloths out per turn, and only two towels were present.
After informing you I rescinded the discount, you left me a one star review.
I have wonderful 5 star reviews on both this and other platforms for all my rentals. In 9 years as a host, I have never had a bad review. This is because I go above and beyond for guests to give them a great experience. I’m sorry that you did not have a good stay, and I wish you better luck with other hosts in the future.
