Adorable secluded Shipping Container near Bufffalo National River

Experience surprising comfort at the Butterfly House. Our 37acre property is bordered on the Southern property line by the Buffalo National River Park land, 2 miles from the river, & 8 miles from the Pruitt access point. This area is known for beautiful hiking, wildlife, & floating nearby. Branson is 55 minutes North if live entertainment, shopping, or a day in the city is your thing. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures or peace & tranquility, the Butterfly House won’t disappoint. This 8’X40’ shipping container has been converted into a 320 square foot tiny home. The covered deck provides 400 square feet of additional outdoor living space and is a perfect place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest.

Our property currently has two converted shipping containers along the driveway, The Butterfly House and The Love Shack. This listing is for the Butterfly House and is perfect for one couple. If you need another container, check out our second listing.

You’ll have everything needed to prepare a proper meal. The large apron front sink, apartment size refrigerator with freezer, two burner hot plate, crockpot, and an airfryer/toaster oven combination make meal prep a breeze. The grill on the deck has a prep table, side burner, cookware, and grilling utensils. Feel free to use the complimentary spices and seasoning as needed.

The bathroom is anything but tiny with a full size shower/bath combination, toilet with bidet, live edge vanity with oversized vessel sink, toiletries, hair dryer, towels and wash cloths, as well as many commonly forgotten items.

With only 320 square feet of interior space, we committed most of the area to the necessities. Additionally, we included a small laundry room with a clothes rod for a few hanging items. Cleaning supplies are available as well as washing detergent to be used if you need to run a load of wash in our small capacity washer/dryer combination unit.

We saved just enough space for a 50” wall mounted smart TV and a small seating area with two chairs, although we anticipate most guests will prefer the views from the deck over the TV. It’s just dreamy out there.

This is Newton County. You may see deer, elk, turkeys, bobcats, snakes, or even a bear during your stay. Be mindful of nature, because you will be staying in the wilderness.

The shipping containers are treated for spiders and pests for your comfort. The best way to keep the outside out is to keep doors and windows closed. It’s advisable to use insect spray when hiking, stay on paths or clear areas where you can see where you’re stepping.

The Butterfly House has been lovingly created with charming decor, original artwork, and plentiful amenities. We’ve maximized every inch to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If experiencing a shipping container is appealing to you, you’re in for a treat.

Perfect Relaxing Stay Near the Buffalo River Elk Festival

I had an amazing stay at the Bragg Box Getaways! The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating, ensuring I had everything I needed for a perfect stay. The property was wonderful—quiet and relaxing, which was exactly what I needed after busy days at the Buffalo River Elk Festival. The location was ideal, away from the hustle and bustle of the town and festival, yet close enough to get to town quickly. I highly recommend others to stay at Bragg Box Getaways. I will definitely be back and will definitely be recommending!

Wonderful secluded stay

The container was incredibly well stocked and perfect for a secluded getaway. My husband and I were in the area to visit Buffalo National River. We had some lengthy drives to get to our trailheads, in part by choice because we wanted a unique stay. This checked that box.

Butterflies in the Boonies

What a perfect place for a getaway for two! We only spent two nights, but wish we'd stayed longer. The peace and solitude you'll find at the Butterfly House is priceless. The house itself is Charm with a capital C. You'd expect a shipping container to be "cozy," but we never felt cramped in the least. Everything you'd expect to find is provided, and much more. The bed is absolutely scrumptious, WiFi worked beautifully, decor is adorable, even the towels feel luxurious. And that deck! Perfection! OK, yes, it's a bit off the highway - but honestly, everywhere in this area is 30 minutes from anywhere, even on pavement. Our small SUV had no trouble at all on the well-graded gravel roads. The directions provided for getting there were detailed and exact. Contacts with the owner were so immediate, it seemed like we had responses before we'd finished writing the message! You'll love everything about the Butterfly House. And best of all, the bragging rights: "Yep, we spent our vacation in a shipping container!"
