Christian’s condo:Positives:Communication before booking and at check-in was good and responsive. Check-in was smooth. Location was convenient (near markets and restaurants). The condo was clean on arrival, had plenty of hot water, three nice TVs, and generally matched expectations.Negatives:Very loud music from both sides of the condo made sleep difficult on Friday and Saturday nights.Direct beach access was blocked (gate chained); guests had to walk around the front of the resort.Kitchen was poorly equipped: only one chef’s knife, no oven-safe pans, no hot pads, and no dish towels. Host did not reply to messages about this for days and only apologized after checkout.Sleeping arrangements for 7 people were unclear (only obvious beds for 4). Guests eventually found a blow-up mattress and pump in different closets.Guest bathroom had a strong sewer-gas smell because the toilet was not bolted down and had shifted.Master bathroom towel holder fell off after first use.Guest-room blinds had been “fixed” with a regular stapler.Main complaint: Poor communication from the host. The reviewer says the small problems could have been easily fixed if Christian had responded, and they would not have left a negative review. The host’s late apology (after checkout) and claim of a VRBO glitch went unverified, as he never followed up.
