About this property

Beautiful Okoboji Cabin with a View

This is a cozy Okoboji cabin on East Lake that is family friendly. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom along with a loft with three full mattresses. We also have a sofa bed in the living room. This cabin is perfect for two families with kids or a girls weekend getaway. We have a blackstone grill and a washer and dryer. The deck in the front of the property is perfect for drinking coffee in the morning to watch boaters or have a large family dinner. We have plenty of games to keep everyone occupied. Come enjoy our serene getaway!

I usually don't complain but the house was dirty. We moved the couch and there was cobwebs under there and crumbs on the couch. It wasn't a clean house.

The property seemed a little dirty, the sheets and blankets in the loft didn’t seem clean and there was stuff left behind in the bathroom. Also, the breaker for the kitchen lights was flipped off and when turned on it arced on us. Otherwise it did its job.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the cabin didn’t meet your expectations. Cleanliness is very important to us, and we’ve already addressed the oversight with our cleaning team regarding the brush left in the bathroom. The loft beds were slept in so I’m not sure what the problem was there. We did have a huge storm that must have tripped the breaker and we have fixed the issue you mentioned. We did notice pink feathers everywhere from your party (even stuck to the shower) and needles in the trash (I’m a diabetic and have never needed that many needles for a weekend) so I’m not sure how serious to take this review. Regardless, best wishes to you all!

This is overall a very nice property in a great location, with a public boat ramp only 5 minutes away and many other popular attractions only 10-15 minutes away. The property owner was very accommodating and responded very quickly to my questions regarding the property. The things my group were unimpressed with on this property were the slightly misleading info on the listing and the uncleanliness of parts of the house. Although it is listed multiple times online, the house does not have a hot tub, which is one of the main reasons we booked the property. The pictures also make the house appear much closer to the water than it actually is (house is actually located across the street from the lake). Most of the house was well cleaned when we arrived; however, the loft area appeared messy and unclean (bad enough that none of our guests wanted to sleep up there). Another thing to note is that parking space is very limited, especially with a boat. With all this said, my group made it work and still had a great time at the property, these are just some things to keep in mind before booking. Hope this is helpful!
