We had a wonderful stay in Harpswell. The home is large, comfortable, and clean. The common areas are spacious. The neighborhood is quiet, and the yard around the home is beautiful.

We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful surroundings. Thanks for staying at The Hideaway!
Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house is clean, comfortable, and fully furnished with everything we needed, and the yard is spacious and beautiful. Our host, Sheri Blackstone, went out of her way to accommodate us and to make sure that we enjoyed our visit. We could not have had a better time and look forward to returning. Five stars all around and most highly recommended to others!

Great quiet spot to enjoy Maine's mid coast. Very clean and comfy. No water view- but can walk to Stovers point for water or drive 5 minutes down the road for a beautiful sunset view over the water. Beds were so comfy!

Thank you, Jennifer ! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the clean and comfy home during your stay ! I'm happy you were able to experience Stover's Preserve-- it's definitely a wonderful spot!
Nice vintage cape home with plenty of dining space and a nice living room. Close to lovely hikes. We were here for a wedding which was close by, so this location was very convenient. Kitchen equipment could use some updating but things were clean and all appliances worked. Great communication with the host also.

Thanks so much, Chris ! Glad the clean home worked well for your stay, and that you enjoyed the dining area, as well as the location !
Sheri is great to work with. It was nice to have laundry on sight and two levels with two bathrooms. (That’s what made me choose The Hideaway.) lots of pluses…and on the flip side for the benefit of the owners and future guests please know….The main level bedrooms mattress set needs replacing asap as do all of the pillows. I gave up and took a blanket and slept on the family room sofa the last 4 nights. Also my friend took a bad fall off the slippery back steps. Non-skid mats are needed.

Thank you for your review, we're glad that The Hideaway, including the layout and convenience of the two levels and laundry worked well for you. We’re sorry to hear the downstairs bed and pillows weren’t to your comfort. Most guests have found them comfortable, and there are multiple pillows throughout the house and in the closets for those who prefer a different style or firmness. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay if anything needs attention, we’re happy to help right away. We appreciate your note about the steps as well and will take a look to ensure everything is safe.
There were a couple hiccups at the beginning of our stay, but Sheri, the property manager, helped us along the way. The house was cozier than what the pictures showed and the property is beautiful and secluded. It's about a 20 minute drive from Brunswick for supplies and eateries. And there is a secluded beach within a 10 minute walk to see the seashore. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in Maine with several people, this is a good choice.

Wishing you a wonderful summer !
Four sisters celebrating one of their 70th birthday. The house fit us beautifully. We each had our own bed and there was everything you would need for our long weekend. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen table was perfect for our nightly competitive board games.
Very large house with large yard and lots of trees and gardens. Spent lots of time in the yard. Can't see the ocean but you can feel that it is there. There is a short walk to a nature preserve e that is beautiful at all times of the day. Harpswell is a lovely peninsula. The house was well equipped and we had a very nice time..
We were a group of 5 women ocean kayakers and spent from 9-4pm on the ocean. The house was in a great neighborhood, very well appointed with everything we needed. Sheri was super responsive and accommodating. We were very pleased with everything and feel the listing accurately reflects the description.
The renting process was very easy!!! Sheri was great with handling all of my questions. The house fit all of our needs. It had a first floor bed room which was great for my mom and was very spacious. The adults could be in the kitchen while the children played in the family room. The location was excellent. It was a short drive to the beach and restaurants. I would definitely rent this property again!!!
Very nice accommodations for family in a beautiful setting and in a great location. Roomy and comfortable with adequate amenities. A previous review mentioned a problem with the water but I believe they were not used to well water softeners. The water was fine for showers. We did use bottled water for drinking. I definitely would stay here again.
Everything was perfect except the water. It’s slippery and soapy. Nobody took shower cause the water doesn’t looks and feels safe at all. Please try to run water in the winter. So people can enjoy the stay fully.
