Megan was a great host with a beautiful property. In the cold, the hot tub gave us a great night-time relaxation under the stars. Our dogs loved it and one even enjoyed a cold plunge themself! This is a great home with greay views away from the city, and we highly recommend it!
The bathrooms and beds were clean and comfy. The sounds from the river were so soothing. A great place to truly relax. Megan was so communicative and friendly as a host via VRBO. Highly recommend for a small family or ,as in our case, a couples retreat.
Everything was lovely! I do wish I had read the listing better, not having a bedroom on the main floor wasn’t ideal but the bed was comfortable. The outdoor kitchen and deck were awesome! Loved being perched over the river while in the hot tub!
Cute house, peaceful waterfall and great host. Megan always quick to answer questions before/during and after trip. Would definitely recommend home to family/friends.
One of the most responsive and courteous hosts we’ve ever had. The property was gorgeous. You can sounds of the waterfall throughout the property. Everything was in working order. The hot tub and sauna were great. Lots of amazing hikes near the property as well. I’ve already recommended it to several friends.
What an incredible place! Everything about our stay was amazing. Our host was a fantastic communicator and we appreciated her willingness to accommodate our needs. I haven't ever stayed at a property where I could get up early in the morning to do some work and could SIT NEXT TO A WATERFALL. It was perfect. This was a waterfall trip with my best and we stayed there because of it's proximity to a lot of waterfalls and we visited 10 (yes 10) in our 4 day stay. It was clean, well stocked, and the sauna was a dream. I'm jealous that I don't own this property!
Well-equipped cabin in a serene setting… all-around views of a waterfall, large and very private deck area with hot tub, and cozy comfortable quarters! Far enough away from the hustle for peace and quiet, but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants. We highly recommend!
We were completely charmed by this gorgeous location and lodge. Every single thing was planned with the intention to make the lodge feel like home. Beautiful, private, comfortable and clean. 10 out of 10. We will be back! I only wish I could keep this little secret all to myself!
Immaculate property. Incredible view combined with peaceful waterfall and associated sounds. Communication with property manager was best we have ever had (there were no problems we just had a couple questions). Definitely will return
Upon arrival the kids were so excited to explore the house, the bunk house specifically and the property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, kids included and were happy and content hanging out at the house with the beautiful views of the falls and just enjoying a quiet vacation. We did check out local waterfalls which was breathtaking. Everything we needed was provided (towels, linens, baking/cooking supplies, utensils, children entertainment…etc) our toddler cried when it was time to head home, wish we could have stayed longer but would love to come back to this perfect hideaway. Communication with the host was quick and easy, check in/out was easy. There’s nothing negative I could say about our stay.
It’s an amazing property on a waterfall! The property is spacious, beautiful foliage, and the house sits right over the waterfall! Megan was a gem and the house was utterly charming with lots of windows to enjoy the view.
The house was well equipped, clean, and had a beautiful view. The waterfall setting made the place hard to leave. Having a separate bunkhouse for the kids was great. They had all they needed there and enjoyed the puzzles and games while we could enjoy the view from the deck or the main house. The rooms were all ready upon our arrival. Getting to and from the property was easy. We enjoyed our stay and will return for future stays.
We can’t BELIEVE this place. We saw the pictures online and quickly sought to check the place out. But no photos could have done justice to what we experienced when we arrived on site - the house sets at the top of an actual waterfall!
Awesome property, and Megan was a great host. Thank you for sharing this private treasure with us. We hope to return soon, and we’re actually thinking to hold our wedding here!
Megan was awesome to deal with as the host and helped with all our questions before the stay. The property itself is amazing. It is right on the water. This place is Quaint, peaceful, and serene, but only 10-15 minutes from lots of great adventure at the lakes as well as great food options. My son was absolutely in love with the bunk room and I think I took the best "deck chair nap" of my life with the sounds of the water in the background. We also tried our hand at fishing just a few short steps from the house. We will be back for sure!
I planned a boating trip on Jocasse for my husband's birthday and wanted to make the trip a little more "extra". Finding a property close to the lake access yet still close enough to town for any last minute supplies can be difficult on short notice for the area. This property checked those boxes and offered So. Much. More. Booking was super short notice, easy as pie and communication was thorough and pleasant. We were even able to check in a little early. I turned into the shady drive, down a hill lined with creamy key lime colored hydrangeas in full bloom! It was stunning! The stone cottage houses that accompany the main house were just quaint enough to convince you Snow White may be your neighbor. The main Lodge gave Rapunzel vibes with its towering bunkhouse that our children enjoyed so much. Decks and windows gave you breathtaking views in every direction you looked. The Sauna wasn't used during our stay due to it being the hottest it's been so far this summer but both my husband and I agreed this lodge would make the perfect setting for a Thanksgiving Getaway or even Christmas. With plenty of room for the everyone to sprawl and the availability of the Sauna and Hot Tub, a cold weather stay would be memorable. Accommodations across the board were top tier and they even remembered little touches to welcome our family dog on her 1st lake trip. I can't rave enough about this gem!
