Summary:

We welcome you to stay in our home and enjoy Yosemite, a cozy cottage with gorgeous mountain view! We are in Yosemite forks, only 10 miles away from Yosemite's south entrance and 5 minutes away from Bass lake. The cottage is only 2 minutes from the town of Oakhurst but surrounded by mountains with no neighbors to be seen. From the deck, you have an open view of the ridges of Sierra NF! Our home also features a game room to provide guests entertainment while resting at home. High speed Internet!



The Space:

We usually stopover at vista points and take pictures. However, this home has a vista point like view right from the deck. The gorgeous home is positioned to take in views of the mountain. Wake up early and watch spectacular sunrise from behind the mountains right from the patio. Breathe in fresh mountain air, walk around the 1.3 acre property

This house is gorgeous, we were all very comfortable here. Its quiet and secluded, but still close enough to take a drive into town. Great house to rents for a family vacation

Great location, listing needs to be updated

The property is in a fantastic location, away from everything, very remote. The amenities were fantastic for the kids. A few frustrations with our vacation this time. One of the rooms was unusable (a room we had planned to have our friend stay in as he is over 6 feet tall) unfortunately the mattress smelled so strongly of mildew, opening the window, removing the sheets for two hours didn't help. I contacted the owner to see if maybe there was a fresh set of sheets we could put on and there wasn’t. We were instructed to take the sheets from another bed to put on that one, the other beds are full size and wouldn’t fit. We were then told to have him stay in the game room bed, of which his feet hung off the edge of. This was disappointing but we made the most of it. The oven was very dirty as was the outside deck which is unfortunate because our trip was planned around cooking and using the outside entertaining area. There were tripping hazards bolted into the edge of the walkways one of our party tripped over and luckily was wearing hiking boots. Checkout: VRBO had our checkout time 11am, the owner messages the checkout instructions with a checkout time of 10am, I responded that our booking has 11am and was told that was an error and that another booking was coming in after us and we needed to help them out by leaving. The owner is nice and quick to respond.
