Great place in Canaan area

We really enjoyed staying here this past weekend! The house was great and very close to the Timberline lodge. No major complaints, but if you stay here make sure you bring all the essentials (napkins, paper towels, etc.) as it was the bare minimum provided (it did have toilet paper and bath towels). Master bedroom is a loft bedroom, so if you have a lot of kids that stay up late, you'll hear everything, even from the basement. Plus no window treatments in mater bed, but it wasn't as bad as we thought it might be. Overall it was an excellent stay and we'd go back again for sure.

Lovely home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great home with separate seating areas, a beautiful deck and hot tub and stocked kitchen. Some of the furniture was fairly tired, but this is probably the norm for vacation rentals. The HOA plowed the snow immediately and Best of Canaan was very accommodating.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Starry Nights was a good base for a group of good friends on a spring paddling and hiking trip.quiet location, easy access. lots of level parkingspacious common areas fine for gathering or spreading out. In general, well stocked and maintained. bedrooms on 3 levels a bit quirky, but worked for us with comments noted below.issues which seem worth noting - the basement is chilly. there is some HVAC and in one bedroom plumbing noise.the dining room chairs are awkwardly low - everybody had to use extra cushions.Best of Canaan is always great to work with

Fall in the Valley

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had another wonderful stay at Starry Nights for our annual Fall Fishing trip. The new hot tub is a wonderful upgrade and we enjoyed every evening! Our favorite spot to relax was in the Sitting Room in front of a nice fire every evening. Kitchen is well-appointed and had most everything we needed. The TV room furniture is a little hard to get up out of if you have 60-ish knees like me but soaking in the hot tub helped tremendously! As always, the gals at Best of Canaan were wonderful and we always recommend them!

Perfect Getaway!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very clean upon arrival. There was plenty of room for a family of 8. A few things that can improve, the bed in the master near the slider needs a new mattress, it is hard as a rock. Also, please be sure the fire wood is refilled. We went a day with out a fire. Overall the stay was wonderful and we will definitely be back again.

Starry Nights - Week between Christmas and New Years

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Starry Nights house was beautiful, yet very cozy and comfortable. The house was had a great set up and was very well appointed. We did have a couple of issues with the water supply, which turned out to be a furnace issue that could not be resolved during our stay. Best of Canaan did respond immediately to each call and sent maintenance and a furnace repair person, but, the furnace needs to be replaced. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Response from VrboOwner on 27 May 2022
Thanks for taking time to provide us with your feedback. I wanted to let you know that a new furnace was installed at Starry Nights last week. We have no reason to think that the water and heat issues were connected but believe that both have been resolved. Things seem to be working great! We are glad found the house cozy and inviting.
