Inside walls between units are 12 inch thick concrete which makes this condo very quiet and peaceful. This unit has everything you need for a fun stay.

Kona Plaza Condominium Complex has a great pool with lounge chairs & 2 BBQ decks with great views of the ocean & mountain.

Centrally located in the heart of Kona. Great walking distances to coffee shops/restaurants. The primus key helps(with all doors to get into complex) from Alii drive without having to walk all the way around the complex. The kitchen is great to have if you’re going to cook. If we had binoculars we would be able to see the fire dancers at the luau across the bay from the lanai. I would love to stay here again when we come back to Hawai’i Island.

Peaceful and convenient

Great location. Loved having my coffee on the lanai every morning. Communication from the property manager was a little much for my taste, but I suppose that’s better than too little communication. This is a great place to stay if you’d rather not rent a car. Occasional uber rides were very affordable (at least when I was there). There are lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. I stayed here for a wedding, so I had family members who could give me a ride to further out locations such as the national park

Nice 1-bedroom condo with partial view of Kona Pier. The location is downtown Kona and we found that helpful as we were there to swim for training. You will need to buy everything to cook including oil or Pam. Simply salt and pepper available.

A great place to be at home at while in Kona. The kitchen was well outfitted with all the right appliances and dishware. Really great! We enjoyed having both an indoor living room and an outdoor lanai to relax in. Quiet, yet steps away from restaurants, stores, swimming, and ocean front to watch dolphins, whales, and sunsets. The flat was perfectly equipped, located ( for what I needed , being near the Ironman), surprisingly quiet for being so central. Everyone was friendly in the building. The bed was super comfy.I had one of the best weeks off my life and would definitely choose to stay there again if I’m back for Ironman in 2025 .The owner was super helpful and responsive via email .Thank you for making my stay such a pleasure.

This was a nice unit.

Mattress needs replacing; uncomfortable. They should supply a few more cleaning products for the bathroom& 409 for the kitchen!

It turns on and off intermittently throughout the day and night and it wakes us up. The staff are very helpful. The staff responded to us in a timely manner if we have questions or if we need something. Thanks to the owner and the staff. We had a wonderful time.

Good location, needs updated pillows and a foam topper for too firm bed.

Stayed 6 nights, we have stayed at this location in the past and like the convenience if wanting to stay in Kona. The mattress was too firm and pillows flat and need to be replaced. The window in the bedroom needs blackout shades because the light from the outdoor corridor makes the room lit all night. As for the hide-a-bed it looks old and can’t imagine anyone would sleep well on it. The beach chairs are super uncomfortable so found the beach towels best for a day on the beach and would be helpful if they added a small cooler for the beach. Positives: clean, location, excellent lanai, good kitchen, the chairs in the living room are recliners and comfortable, easy check in and great parking for the area. Good coffee and smoothies on the first level, two great locations you can choose from.

Super Convenient Condo

I donʻt usually write reviews, but my girlfriend and I loved this condo! Itʻs set back off Aliʻi Drive in central Kona, so all the restaurants and shops are right there. It has a great balcony that looks out over the ocean (nice for sunset), and there is a mini fridge for drinks. My photo doesnʻt do it justice. The building looks a little basic when you drive in, but the condo itself is unexpectedly comfortable.Inside, the condo is fully equipped. We didnʻt cook, but the full kitchen would have made it easy. It has a full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave and coffee maker plus pots, pans, and utensils. The living room and bedroom have separate AC units. It has a king size bed that is super comfy, and all the linens, soaps and shampoos were provided. Plus there were four mask and snorkel sets, beach chairs and towels. When we arrived they had little coffee set up and we got a free set of coasters as a gift.The owners really considered the guest experience when equipping this place. It was like staying in a deluxe hotel with lots of extras.

Regarding kitchen items such as oil and vinegar, we provide starter supplies for guests, but cooking condiments are typically purchased by guests depending on their preferences. The parking structure is managed by the building’s association rather than our management, but we understand how that could be surprising and appreciate the feedback.
