We had a trip planned to float the river and needed a place to stay. We were excited to see the amenities (grills, fire pit, games, etc) and really loved that we could disconnect and enjoy time with each other. The manager was easy to work with and we thoroughly enjoyed the grounds, especially our dogs having room to run around freely. The hosts are accommodating and responded to all messages quickly. We would be happy to stay here again!
Our group had all ages 3 to over 50 and we all enjoyed our time. The layout of the cabin allowed everyone to enjoy their time and have their own space to sleep. Outside is amazing with all the space, grills, fire pit, and available outdoor activities.
This is a beautiful cabin surrounded by pines. You are right next to the State park, but don't have any loud and rowdy neighbors to deal with. Along with riding the ohv trails in the park, you can also swim or tube down the Crow River. 10 minute drive to the nearest town, or 30 minutes to the nearest Walmart/ big store. It was easy to communicate with the management. They have a Blackstone, another weber propane grill, and a Pitboss pellet smoker/propane grill combo that is available for use. We are already planning our stay for next year.
These folks have built themselves an awesome hunting cabin. We appreciated finding a location close to Midsummer Music Festival where we could actually get some sleep. Very peaceful and out of the way. There was some slight confusion about whether we were using the correct driveway, but they had a "VRBO" sign up at the "V" in the road to confirm we were in the right place. The road had a couple of "moats," after rain that were no problem for a truck and probably help keep the riff-raff out but a small car might not have made it in. Because you're away from civilization, the cell service is poor but the stars are amazing! Bring a telescope if you have one!
Grap a bunch of friends and a couple of cases of beer and enjoy the great outdoors. Plenty of beds for sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked, if they don't have it you don't need it. No T.V. or internet, who cares. They have plenty of games or like we did bring your own. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
