A few minutes from Joshua Tree National Park's main entrance and walking distance to the quirky town of Joshua Tree and the official park visitor center, the Sunburst is an eclectic space with all the amenities you need for a quick jaunt into the park (roadtrippers, we salute you!) or a week-long retreat with a private hot tub, a grill, and an outdoor chiminea fire pit. Marissa was super responsive and the place was so sweet, clean, and very centrally located in Joshua Tree. There were fresh towels and a super helpful room next door with water, fridge, microwave, and laundry. We only spent one night but definitely want to stay here again in the future!

The location was perfect and convenient, close to the park entrance and walking distance to shopping and dining options. The property was tastefully designed and the gardens were alive and gorgeous. We saw hummingbirds, bees and lizards right outside our door. The only thing I can say that it was in need of was a few more glasses of cups, there were only two at the property and we had to use those two for water, coffee and wine. But overall the experience was amazing and perfect!

We had a very fun and relaxing stay at this lovely little vrbo. It was super clean and centrally located near restaurants and shops as well as very close to the parks entrance. Check in and out was super easy and little touches like holiday candy and a nespresso machine made things feel extra special.

The stay was great! Perfect location for 2-3 days exploring Joshua Tree and going to our friends' wedding. Air conditioning worked great, loved the decorations, and the water cooler & coffee machine were useful. It was also nice to eat lunch in the backyard and have easy parking in the driveway. The hot tub wasn't super hot, but that's okay because the sun was.

My name is Marissa, and traveling (in VRBOs especially) is my absolute favorite! My experiences as a guest have been nothing but positive. I live with my husband Parker and we are originally from Toronto/Charleston, SC and Dallas. We are excited to share our home (and the Mojave) with you!

Why they chose this property

We are in a prime location — about a five-minute drive to the popular west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and a short walk to the center of town with its shops and eateries. It is relatively quiet on a paved street in a residential neighborhood but we still see a lot of wildlife and can access local hiking trails! Nature is in our backyard so if you're looking to get away from it all (but not THAT far away from it all), this is the place to be!

What makes this property unique

Our home was built in 1952 and is one of the remaining original homes in the quirky town of Joshua Tree! It is historic and has a lot of character, which we have embellished since we moved in. We love color and antique finds so this is the opposite of the ultra-modern white boxes you typically see in the desert built by LA transplants. Our guests have said that it's better than the pictures!
