Welcome to Little Lake Louise – Your Private Park Getaway

Tucked away in the rolling hills of southern Iowa, just 45 minutes from Des Moines, Little Lake Louise is a private, cozy log cabin retreat with all the comforts of home. Whether you're looking to unplug or play, this hidden gem offers it all; a private pond for fishing and floating, scenic trails for wandering, a screened-in gazebo, a lookout tower with panoramic views, and two decks for soaking in the quiet.

The cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom, heating and A/C, and cozy sleeping arrangements for up to four guests. Unwind by the fireplace in winter or enjoy a summer barbecue on the deck. It's like having your own private park; complete with modern amenities.

The cabin is located about 1/4 mile beyond the main house on a private section of our property. While we live onsite, your space is fully private. We’re close enough if you need us, but you’ll have all the peace and privacy you'd expect.

Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn the heat or AC down to a reasonable level (we recommend 65°F in winter, 75°F in summer) Check that the fireplace is off (note: gas fireplace is seasonal)
Ensure all windows are shut and locked Please make sure that the storm door is firmly shut
Take out any bagged trash to the large blue trash can by the shop you passed on the way in (optional but appreciated!) Send us a quick message to let us know you’ve checked out
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
