It is very quiet and peaceful at the cabin. We enjoyed seeing wild turkeys and deer outside our window in the morning.

What a wonderful way to start your mornings — coffee in hand with wild turkeys and deer just outside the window! That kind of peaceful quiet is exactly what makes Canyon View Family Cabin so special, and we're so glad you got to experience it. Nature has a way of showing up beautifully out here in the canyon country. We hope to welcome you back soon for more quiet mornings and unexpected wildlife visits!
We Loved our stay at the Canyon view cabin! It is exactly as it is in the pictures! A beautifully decorated rustic cabin. No AC wasn't a problem with the cool nights we had ! If your looking for an authentic western cabin than this is the place for you! Check in was a breeze and the host was easily contacted and helpful! Thank you again for allowing us to stay! We will be back !

Thank you so much! We're thrilled that Canyon View Cabin delivered exactly what you were hoping for, right down to the authentic rustic charm you see in the photos. Those cool canyon nights really are something special, aren't they? We're so glad the experience felt genuinely western and not just a postcard version of it. We can't wait to welcome you back — the canyon will be here whenever you're ready to return!
This was a good stay. Pictures of outside were not accurate when we arrived. Fire pit area had weeds and was over grown. Since we stayed her during the summer and is a log cabin it was a little warm. Spot cooler could only do so much. No other issues with check in or communication!
We only spent one night but enjoyed this lovely cabin. Everything we needed was provided. This is a great place to stay especially if you have a large family like ours. We intend to stay here again next time we visit family in Blanding or Monticello.
Even though our visit was short, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Canyon View Cabin. It was so much nicer than staying at a motel in town. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts at the big table, an evening fire in the fire pit, the deer passing through the property and the overall peace and quiet of the setting.
This was our third year staying in this cabin. It’s well furnished, clean, and comfy. We love the setting and the convenience to Both Monticello and a landing.
The cabin was very quite. We took a day trip to Needles overlook. The younger three 60 year olds hiked around a lake 20 mins away, 4.2 miles around. We had fun playing games at night on the big table in the dining room. Directions to the cabin were great. Thanks!
At first not what I expected but now it's what it is.We did enjoy the location and saw a lot of deers. Its an all wood cabin and rustic but has modern convenience.would definitely come back

Really nice place, plenty of room to spread out, with a good sized kitchen stocked with all the pots/pans/utensils you might need, plus coffee. Cool construction, the kids really liked the loft. Directions were excellent and easy to follow, check-in/check-out easy and straightforward. Great location on the slope of the Abajo mountains, we explored Canyonlands and some of the pueblo ruins near Blanding - the cabin has a really useful binder with descriptions of some of these sites and good directions. Thanks, hope to return sometime!

Hi Gregory

Thanks and come again soon,

A perfect cozy, rustic cabin...with every comfort.
We had the pleasure of being "snowed in" in this rustic, cozy cabin during a heavy winter storm. It was a magical experience for my kids. The cabin is beautifully crafted from rough timbers and exudes rustic charm throughout. Well-insulated, well-stocked, warm, and comfortable, the perfect getaway for staying in or exploring the Canyonlands and Moab. We'll definitely be back next year.

Homemade, Haunted House
The location of the property is perfect for touring all of the national parks and cliff dwellings in the area (it's an average of a 45 min. drive to 6+ national parks and monuments), we loved it for that reason.
The home is well stocked and labeled, so you can easily find things, but we felt we could never quite relax because it seemed like the home was haunted. I know that sounds strange, but it was as if we were always being watched. My son, my wife and myself heard disembodied voices/whispers, while my eldest daughter kept seeing shadows, it was unsettling. We are NOT into paranormal stuff. Some people might like that, we didn't.
That aside, the home is very creaky, with interesting door latches and all wood/log construction that squeaks and creeks with every step. It appears homemade.
Great fire pit and we felt, overall, it was a good value for the money we paid to rent it.
Beautiful property, we had a blast. Tons to do if you are willing to drive. Moab is beautiful 60's and sunny while in Monticello it was 30-40's and snowing so be careful if you go during the spring. You're in the mountains so pack for all temps. We have 7 kids, 1 in a wheelchair and we were not aware that we needed to walk across a 2x10 board over a mucky/ice pond in order to get to the door of the cabin. Fire pit & grill were buried in snow, we did not have any issues with this as it gave our kids something to do and they dug it all out. But if you are like us, we planned for meals on the grill so we wanted to dig it out to make the meals we planned. Property owner came and helped dig out and start up the grill and put another board down to help accommodate us carrying our handicap son it. Front door was not accessible, side door, by the fire pit was the only one accessible for us during our visit. We had a pretty big group with no water issues at all, we all took showers and did laundry as normal. Friendly staff, owner took care of any issues we had during our stay. Overall it was a great experience despite it not being exactly as pictured online.
It was a great property to accommodate our party of 8. The teens especially enjoyed having the loft area to themselves. They had plenty of room stretch out and be comfortable. We loved all of the wildlife visitors that came by the cabin! It was fun seeing them so close. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patios everyday.
