Location is everything... 1.5 block walk to the beautiful beach sunsets over the bay, 10 minute drive to the ocean beach, shopping and restaurants of historic victorian Cape May and 18 minutes to the exciting night life and boardwalk of Wildwood. Perfect for families with children, friend-cations and romantic getaways.

Two-story newly renovated cozy cottage with fully equipped sit-in modern kitchen and 2.5 updated luxurious bathrooms. Outdoor spaces include front and side patios with seating, grill and dining area perfect for entertaining. Shaded back yard with fire-pit, seating and hammock.

Living room has a sectional sofa, 50' TV and working fireplace heater with games and activities for all.
Each bedroom includes a queen/double bed, mounted television and at least one 18' air mattress for extra guests.

Beach chairs, umbrella, and accessories are available for use.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Trash day is Monday. Please have trash out on Sunday evening.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
1. No smoking in any areas inside of the home.
2. Place garbage outside in the provided covered cans after your stay.
3. Place dirty towels and sheets in the hampers and leave them outside of the door when you leave.

Nice location, easy to find, cute cottage. Good for kids (the stair treads to the second floor were shorter than my adult feet and the beds up there were small - one was not a queen). Walking distance to ice cream parlors!

It is a very cute cottage. The living room was smaller then expected so hard to have everyone together. Also a little hot in the upstairs bedrooms so would bring extra fans. Loved having all the beach supplies available.

We enjoyed our visit to the Whale's Tail Cottage. There were four adults and two children. Plenty of room for everyone. The only suggestion I would make is to put in the listing information that the steps going upstairs are very narrow and that needs to be considered. Otherwise, everything was great!

Description was accurate...beautiful cottage in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located to beach, eateries and a short drive to the heart of cape may. It was perfect for our first sisters in law get together. I highly recommend this beautiful home.

Great location for proximity to the beach and other shore towns. We enjoyed some mini golf and grilling.Plenty of room for us all. The oven and stove should be looked at as they didn’t seem to be functioning properly.

Nice home with all the amenities. The home was very clean, but the living room was much smaller than I expected, the beds upstairs had plastic mattress covers on them and were hot and uncomfortable to the ladies that stayed in those rooms. The water and the bathroom showers was really hot and had to turn it down quite far to be comfortable. The stairs are quite narrow and not easy to carry luggage up and down the stairs. The backyard grass was high and had not been mowed so we didn’t use that area. We had a great time during our stay, but these things were disappointing.

Overall ok

While the house was super cute, we did experience some issues during our stay. There was broken glass in the backyard and the grass was overgrown. The metal screen door frame had been cut to fit a handle leaving exposed metal corners which cut one of the guests. And there wasn’t any soap in the bathrooms and the washing machine was broken. There were a few other issues as well. When we expressed our concerns we were dismissed and told no one else had complained. While Denise responded quickly, she was not receptive to our concerns. We had little kids on the property and we chose this place but were unable to use many of the “features” of the house. It is not a house I would return to.

Very walkable spot close to the beach on the bay to watch beautiful sunsets! The stairs to the upper floor was too narrow so be careful going up and down them. Water was warm to swim in albeit a bit muddy and too shallow at low tide. Delicious dining options not too far from the rental and it felt very safe wherever we went. There was only 1 indoor dining table for eating and it crammed only 4 people into a tight corner. Our two families with young kids visited the Cape May zoo which was not only free but excellent. The beds were small and loud as they had plastic covers on all the mattresses however they provided multiple (twin sized) brand new air mattresses. Having a brand new set of washer and dryers came in handy for us. They provided so many extras like garlic powder, salt, pepper, oils, brand new towels pots pans wine glasses, beach toys, 2 adult bicycles 🚲 and the list goes on. While we wished it could’ve been a bit bigger inside (we had a big family) this rental could easily accommodate 2 small families. Everything was recently renovated inside and freshly painted as well.Thank you for hosting us we made some great family and friends’ memories!
