We had a relaxing stay at this VRBO. Big Bass Lake had terrific amenities and the setting was perfect for a getaway. The house was clean and it was so convenient to have a bathroom next to each bedroom, each with a shower! The kids enjoyed the books and toys. Kitchen was good for cooking a few small meals, and we also enjoyed eating from Passing the Thyme and Lombardi’s.
We went to get away for a weekend and visit my fiancé brother’s family. The cabin was super clean, easy walk to the lake. We didn’t use the pool but definitely will on our next stay. The Cabin is great for family that needs their own space. The stairs to the second floor and basement are steep but there is a full bathroom on each floor. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need and stores are not too far away.

Somewhat shabby. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean but the kitchen was filthy. Only 2 AC units for 3 floors. The loft and the main floor bedrooms were too hot to use comfortably. The basement floor had no ac at all and was very humid. But we didn't use the basement anyway because it was only accessible using the narrowest spiral staircase I've ever seen with an even narrower baby gate at the top. My 80lb dog couldn't maneuver down there. Outside on the deck was lovely, except for mosquitos. I know that's typical in woods like that. We had bug spray. But I'm sure the many areas of standing water (buckets, empty players, kids sandbox) didn't help the mosquito situation. The community amenities were lovely as was the neighborhood and wildlife.

Rough Vacation
First arriving at the place, the check in process was very easy. When arriving to the cabin, the steps or in front of the doorway to enter was not shoveled or salted. When entering the cabin, it took almost the whole night for the heat to kick on. I was so excited about the beds but they were uncomfortable and to hard to lay on so my fiance and I had to sleep on the couches. Then was so excited to try the amazing shower and waited a couple minutes for it to heat up but there was no hot water. The water heater wasn’t fixed till almost noon the next day as I wasn’t informed that a light switch by the front door turns the water heater on and off. Then going downstairs the steps would move as going down them as they seemed to need to be tightened. The shower on bottom floor makes a very loud sound when turned on. Overall I will compliment the place was clean on the inside but other then that I was very unhappy with the issues that happened during my stay.
