Family in town

Rented this property for a family event. The beds were very comfortable and bedding was clean. The living spaces, kitchen and bathroom were minimally stocked (no toilet paper in one bathroom) but adequate for a very short stay. Space was cluttered and not super clean, but it wasn’t gross or unsanitary. Would rent again for sleeping arrangements for family/guests from out of town, but not a great space for hanging around.

Stay was very comfortable. Host was very accommodating and responded to any requests. Would recommend in the future to have a cleaning service to come in after a long stay Tennant. Other wise property was just what we needed.

There were many problems. When we arrived there were 1)clumps of mud on the floor and on stairwell. There was a a pan with food in the sink, 2) dirt on kitchen surfaces, 3) food in the refrigerator, 3) dirty glasses in one of the dressers. 4) The bedrooms and living room had not been dusted. 6) Towels were piled haphazardly on bench. When 7) the heater kicked on at 12am it made a tremendous racket. When we thought it was just the floor that was a problem, i tried to use the vacuum to clean up the mud, and it was impacted with old dirt and hair. We contacted the host and he said, "let me explain" and went on to say the mud was because "it had rained the day before" and that pan was his breakfast oatmeal in the sink. He said he could be there within an hour to clean. We left, and when we returned, the vacuum was still in the middle of the entryway, the pan was emptied but still had food caked on the edge. The dirty dishes were still in the bedroom drawer, nothing had been dusted and table in kitchen still not cleaned off. When I investigated the heater noise, i discovered the heater grate was almost completely clogged with dust, and there was a lot of dust around the coils. The space could be comfortable, but was not maintained.

Very disappointed!!

This house is filthy! Not at all what was listed. Standing water in the washing machine so we never used it. But if we had been able to you had to pay 5$ a load. And that was not disclosed. The house as listed as an entire home however there is a locked bedroom with God knows what inside also not mentioned. There is broken furniture. And there was good left in both the freezer and fridge. That is separate from the deep fridge that when you don’t dare open because of the horrible stench. By far the highest cleaning fee . And nothing was clean about this house. The list of chores expected of you to complete before departure is insulting. Especially due to the conditions on arrival. Do not stay her!! There are several hotels near by where you will be much happier and spend 1/2 the money. This home should not even be listed on VRBO. We have an open complaint with them now

You come to my home with your family, spend time, sleep on my beds and come here to run your trap? You’re a joke. You and your disrespectful family. You made it a point to humiliate me by leaving mementos of your shopping sprees and expensive eatouts? You trashed up my place and turned around to fill up Vrbo with the angst from your good as finished family? You don’t have a family and should be considering something else with your life. Don’t plan to comeback here arrogant pitcher tank and share this with your wife so she knows what to write on your divorce papers!
