Lage

Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Tankstelle, Zugang zur Schnellstraße und zum Strand mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar, trotzdem super ruhig, außer: Einflugschneise Flughafen, insbesondere morgens reger Verkehr. Hat uns aber weniger gestört, als zunächst befürchtet. Nachmittags nicht beurteilbar, da wir da immer unterwegs waren. Während unseres Aufenthalts war nachts von ca. 23:00 Uhr bis morgens ca. 9:00 Uhr kein Flugverkehr, wirklich Totenstille. Wer sich daran nicht stört so wie wir, super Unterkunft.

Villa Anthena

We can’t emphasis enough how we throughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Athena, a very peaceful and beautiful location. Gouves is a 25 minute walk away, with a small sandy bay. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, and little local shops any anything else you may require. We would highly recommend this property

Große gemütliche FeWo

Die Anlage liegt etwas versteckt (und somit schwierig zu finden) zwischen Olivenhainen. Es gibt zwar keinen tollen Ausblick und der Ort war auch nicht unser Ding, aber die Anlage ist als Basislager sehr zu empfehlen. Alles funktionierte problemlos, sowohl die Wohnung, als auch der Außenbereich sind sehr gepflegt.

Kleine Oase in der Nähe von Heraklion

Dieses moderne, komfortable und sehr saubere Ferienapartment liegt in einem wunderbaren, sehr großen und äussert gepflegten Garten. Hängematte, eine schöne Terrasse unter Bougainvillen und Außengrill luden ein, die meiste Zeit im Freien zu verbingen. Die Haushälterin empfing uns herzlich und hatte uns bereits vorab alle wichtigen Infos zukommen lassen, so dass wir diese wunderbare Oase problemlos fanden. Zum Strand im kleinen Naturschutzpark sind es nur wenige Schritte, herrliche Buchten wie die bei Malia schnell per Auto erreichbar und das Apartment ist ein perfekter Ausgangsort, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie Küsten Kretas in Tagestouren kennenzulernen. Wir verbrachten in der Villa Athena eine wundervolle, erholsame Woche und können dieses Feriendomizil nur wärmstens empfehlen. Danke, insb. an Emmanuoela.

Bellissimo appartamento

Bellissimo appartamento, confortevole e spazioso.ci ho soggiornato per un mese con la mia famiglia con due bambini e tutto è stato veramente comodo:lavatrice, uno sgabuzzino dove mettere le valigie e una grande e spaziosa camera da letto.la cucina ha tutte le stoviglie ed elettrodomestici. ottime le rifiniture, dalle luci del giardino all aria condizionata(1 in camera e una nel salone) che funziona benissimo alle zanzariere alle finestre.buono il wifii anche se un po lento.il giardino è curatissimo e con grilli e cicale. Buona la posizione della casa, immersa in una oliveta a pochi minuti di auto (indispensabile) dal supermarket e dalla spiaggia (che non è raggiungibile a piedi come invece indicava l annuncio, serve l auto). La proprietaria Emanuela gentilissima, tutte le sere veniva a chiederci se ci occorresse qualcosa .peccato il mare sempre molto mosso(30giorni di onde).

Idyllic holiday setting, highly recommended

We loved this apartment! It's beautifully set up within a small development of apartments and houses with a central garden with olive trees and flowering shrubs (all tastefully illuminated at night). If anything, the listing description is too modest. The newly-installed wi-fi worked really well and allowed us sufficient bandwidth to watch movies in the evening. We found the apartment in a clean and well-maintained condition. The kitchen had a good cooker, microwave, kettle and coffee-maker and was well-equipped for those who enjoy cooking whilst on holiday, although we found plenty of nice places to eat out in as well. About half an hour's drive from Heraklion airport, this is a great base from which to explore eastern and central Crete. A hire car is essential if you are to make the most of the opportunities of the area. We went to Heraklion, Agious Nicolaus, Malia Palace, Knossos, the ruined village of Gournia and the cave of Skotiron. Cretan driving is eccentric for those used to northern European expectations, but safe enough. Alex, the site manager, struck the perfect balance between being helpful and always on call if needed but also respected our privacy and didn't intrude. Thanks, Alex! Do ring for directions once you are within a few miles of the apartment, as Cretan road signs can leave some things creatively vague. We are interested in archeological things in general , so Crete represents a fascinating range of possibilities in that respect. Knossos was an obvious highlight for that reason, but the archaeological museum in Heraklion is an absolute must if you want to see artefacts from the Minoan period really well presented in a wonderful modern building. We also found Gournia a really thought-provoking site in a beautiful setting. We hardly scraped the surface of what there is to see in Crete and we'll certainly be returning.

Wunderschönes und modernes Apartment mit Garten

Unser Apartment ist ein der 4 bis 5 Apartments in der Anlage. Es befindet sich in einem schönem Ort Kato Gouves, ca. 20 km von Heraklion. Trotz ruhiger Lage erreicht man mit wenigen Autominuten sandigen Strand, Tavernas und Geschäfte. Das Apartment verfügt über eine große Terasse mit Blick auf einen wunderschönen Garten. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt mit vielen schönen Blumen. Es war für unsere Kinder ein perfekter Platz zum Spielen. Es gibt da eine Rutsche und eine Hängematte und viele Ecken zu erkunden. Ein Grill und ein Steinofen sind vorhanden. Das Apartment ist frisch renoviert, schön hell und modern eingerichtet. Es gibt einen Waschraum mit einer Waschmaschine und einem Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Apartament war auf jeden Fall sehr sauber. Wir haben uns vor ersten Tag an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die ganze Abwicklung war sehr unkompliziert und der Besitzer sehr bemüht, dass wir zufrieden sind. Im Ort Gouves gibt es viele Atraktionen für Kinder: Kretaquarium, Dinosauriapark, Pferdereiten, der sandige Strand etc. Durch die Lage ist der Partyort Hersonissos sehr schnell erreichbar, ca. 15 Minuten mit Auto. Gouves ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflugsziele. Wir würden das Apartment auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Es eignet sich sehr gut für Pärchen als auch für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Man kann auch andere Apartments dazu mieten, um mit mehreren Freunden einen gemütlichen Aufenthalt zu haben.
