A nice stay for our family annual up north trip. The towels and bedding were very nice and we had plenty of space in each of the bedroom and living room for 8 people. The hot tub was a nice bonus especially for the kids. The extra frdige was nice for drinks to keep cold. The kitchen could of been stocked with some better pots/pans and the house had some cob webs in the corners, some areas not super clean floors, and the gas grill needed to be cleaned as it has some rust in there when we went to use it. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Thanks for the feedback. We do our deep cleaning in April between the winter and summer season. You were actually our last renter of the winter. We will be sure to get any cobwebs as part of this work. I'm actually surprised you were able to get to the grill as it was under about 3 feet of snow! It's hard to keep things outside perfect in the winter with the amount of snow we receive. We typically don't have renters use it during the winter months, but rest assured it always gets a good cleaning in the spring.
Great cabin for our family get-away - 6 adults and 4 kids and everyone had enough space! Check-in and communication with the host was easy, great location with a lot of things to do in the area. Highly recommend!
Cabin is perfect for our group. This was our second stay and all our guest enjoyed the cabin. Location is perfect for snowmobiling trails and side-by-side. Cabin was clean and directions are easy to follow. We really enjoyed the large open living and dining room space as a group. The rooms are private and beds are comfortable. Plenty of towels for everyone. We even enjoyed the hot tub and sauna as a bonus to our stay. Overall, the cabin is five and our host Jay, was amazing & very responsive. We will definitely stay again!
We had a great stay on our side by side getaway! The property and amenities were great and the location was perfect for trail access and other locations we wanted to see. Jay communicated everything very well and was responsive to any questions we had. Also plenty of parking for our trailers which is very hard to find. We will be back!!
We were very impressed with how clean the property was. The layout was perfect for our group. We were close to the trail system, and to town. We would definitely stay again.
The cabin was amazing we all had an amazing stay if I had to make anything better it would be that the hot tub wouldn’t get hot and i couldn’t get in contact with the home owner to fix the problem. But other than that the stay was perfect!! Such a beautiful home and area

Hi Abby. I'm sorry you had issues with the hot tub. However, I never received any communication from you via the VRBO platform or the phone number I gave you the day prior to your check in or I could have had someone come out to check on it. I did clarify with the maintenance team that the hot tub was operating at normal temperature when they came to clean.
The Up North cabin was very roomy and quite nice. We enjoyed some quality family time playing games, enjoying a bon fire, and spending a day on Mackinac Island. Jay responded quickly to questions and provided us with area information.
The cabin was centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit: Charlevoix, Petosky, Our family had a great time and loved that everyone had their own rooms. The weather was chilly but that certainly wasn’t the host’s fault … we were thankful for a fireplace.
The deacriptions of the property are accurate. The property is well appointed. Everything that we needed was available. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment. The complex has plenty of activities, as well as being near to Mackinac, Petosky, and Traverse City.
This house is everything you could ask for in Northern Michigan. It was very clean, spacious, and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely rent again in the future. Jay was awesome to deal with.
The host was excellent in communicating with us. There were some problems and they immediately called to get help and try to resolve the problem. They were great to work with.
Very comfortable and spacious. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels for washrooms, hot tub and sauna. Comfortable seating outside. Easy drive to the Coastal Towns. Very enjoyable.
Our family enjoys a weekend away each winter and we look for a place with lots of bedrooms and at least two bathrooms. This place had what we needed with the extras such as the hot tub and sauna and use of the community pool. Not only did we enjoy our time together but also all the amenities that came with it. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Gaylord is not far away so we spent time there as well. This place was just what we needed.

About the host
Your host
We've been visiting northern Michigan for 40 years. Our parents purchased this home in 2005 and it has been the gathering place for the extended family ever since. We originally came for the snow, but have grown to love the Michigan summers almost as much!
What makes this property unique
Our cabin feels like a home because that's what it has been for the past 19 years. From playing cards to board games, the house is supplied with several items to occupy a rare rainy day in Michigan. The kitchen is supplied with everything you would find at your own home, and enough dishes to host a large party!
