Jeff’s place was great and the location in downtown Detroit could not be beat, especially if you are attending a sporting event. Jeff was a very welcoming and responsive host.

Wow! How fun. A great old restored mansion, steps away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Less than a block from LCA & theQ the QLine
Jeff was an excellent host. Extremely responsive. Made our group of 4 feel very welcome. He provided a brief history of the mansion/Upper unit. The location was perfect for a short/safe 10 min walk to Ford Field. Comerica Park and Little Ceasars Arena are even closer. Walking distance to several restaurants and bars. The Whitney House Upper Unit had a lot of character, charm, plenty of space and was very clean. We will absolutely stay at the Whitney House again for our next overnight visit to downtown Detroit. All around great experience. Could not have asked for more.
Our family came to Detroit for an event at Ford Field. This home was perfect for us! The house was clean, beautiful & a very short walk to the arena. We felt safe in the area, the communication with the owner was above average, and we loved the architecture/history of the house itself. Parking at the house was really a bonus, as we had friends that had to park/walk quite a long way for the same event. The amenities were above average, we appreciated the coffee, garbage bags, paper towels, tissues, laundry soap, etc... its the little things... Thank you again for everything, we will definitely come again.
Group of four travelled to Detroit to watch the Lions home opener. Property was in a great location and an easy walk to the stadium and surrounding entertainment district. I would highly recommend this property to anyone attending and event at Little Caesar’s Arena, Ford Field, Comerica Park or and of the concert venues in downtown Detroit.
Loved the character and the views from the upper floors. The owner never made me feel like I was bothering him for asking questions and had a ccontagious courtesy and enthusiasm. Plenty of paper products on hand which have been skimped on in previous vrbo rentals. No one wants to ration toilet paper while on vacation. Only thing I would improve is having an info sheet on premises explaining some features such as how the heat works. The house was exceptionally clean when we arrived.
Looking for a place to stay near the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Pistons/Redwings stadiums or just downtown Detroit? Stay here! Stayed here with family for an overnight to watch the redwings. This location couldn’t have been closer! Just a short walk from the arena and you are home. Private parking makes it so you don’t pay parking ramp fees. Super clean, very quiet at night, they take care of all trash and linens at the end of the stay so there are no worries, just stay and enjoy. Jeff is very attentive and quick to get back with you with any questions you may have. I would highly recommend and would come back given the opportunity!
