About the host
Hosted by TJ Parks
I'm from Alaska and my husband is from Cambridge, MA. Manhattan can be very expensive, but also pretty daunting, so we hope to help travelers in this great city feel more comfortable by opening our family home for short-term rentals.
Why they chose this property
I moved to the FiDi in 2007 when it was all about big finance. Since then, the area has seen tremendous growth with corporations moving out, and office buildings turned into condos and rental apartments. New restaurants, bars, grocery, and shopping followed soon after.
What makes this property unique
Our building is a luxury building without the pretentiousness. It's kid friendly, pet friendly, and people actually say "hello" when you pass in the public areas. It's also a great location for seeing top tourist sites such as the Freedom Tower, the Oculus, World Trade Center site and museum, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, and so, so much more.
