The Lazy Laurel is a peaceful 2 story, 2/2 cabin tucked away at the end of a private mountain top street. Located less than 20 minutes from Blue Ridge or Ellijay, the cabin feels secluded but is an easy drive to either town. Relax to the sounds of the waterfalls in nearby Fightingtown Creek and enjoy 180 degree year-round mountain views from our patios, hot tub or fire pit terrace. The cabin's fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room with gas fireplace, downstairs game room and private bedrooms with attached full bathrooms make this the ideal retreat for couples and small families. Dog-friendly with a built in dog gate on the patio.

Layout: Our two-story cabin offers a private bedroom and full bathroom on each floor, providing plenty of space and privacy for your group. The top floor features a cozy living room with a gas fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee bar.

Downstairs, the game room is the perfect hangout spot. The space includes a pool table, air hockey, darts, and a large smart TV. Just off the game room is a separate queen bedroom and full bath.

Outside, the top-floor porch has a built-in gate to keep pets and toddlers safe while you enjoy the year-round mountain views. On the lower deck, you'll find our hot tub and a fire pit—perfect for a peaceful evening under the stars.

The cabin was very cozy, big temperature difference between floors. Very clean, was able to cook full meals. Very accommodating for our 2 teens and small dogs. We had fun with the puzzles and games, and enjoyed the fireplace and firepit, and loved the sounds and the views. The beds were comfortable and appreciated the extra blankets. Host reached out before with any questions, but we did great and had a wonderful time. We really, really appreciated that it was decorated so nicely for Christmas. Coming from Florida, it was exactly the scene we needed.

Your cabin was immaculate, comfortable, and just as pretty as the pictures! It was the perfect layout for our family of 4..... my husband and I enjoyed the main floor, while our teens claimed the downstairs bedroom and game room as their hangout. (The pool table and mini-fridge was a huge hit!) Our pup loved the gated porch most of all - we spent countless hours out there enjoying the stunning views. I slept like a baby every night (which speaks volumes for the comfort of your beds) and we hardly left the property during our 5-night stay. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Truly amazing hosts who really do care about their guests. They will go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a great stay. We had an issue with hot tub on arrival. Jamie was very quick to respond and took care of the issue promptly. Cabin was clean. Bed was comfortable. Saw deer on the property most mornings. Deck was relaxing spot. We are the Wilsons, a family of 4 native Floridians that fell in love with the Blue Ridge area. We like to invest in vacation homes in the areas we love to visit and share those homes with guests while we aren't in town. We currently host at our house on Lake Louisa in Clermont, FL and at our mountain cabin in Cherry Log, just outside of Blue Ridge, GA. These two homes exemplify our love for both the water and the mountains.

As experienced hosts, we know that cleanliness and responsiveness are the most important factors for a great stay and great reviews afterward! We are available 24/7 should any issues or questions arise during your stay.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the Lazy Laurel cabin in 2024. We found it to be the perfect location with a secluded feel yet centrally located less than 10 miles to either Blue Ridge or Ellijay. Even though you won't see any homes while relaxing on the property, our cabin is located at the dead end of a street with fewer than 10 homes. It is a quiet little neighborhood that is dog friendly. You will often see other owners and renters out walking dogs and enjoying the great mountain views.
