About this property

Hot tub; near world-class skiing and snow play

Welcome to Tahoe House 1555. We also own the house next door (1535 Tahoe Park Ave) so if you have a larger group and would like to have two houses next door to each other please let us know. You can also search on Tahoe House 1535 for more information.

Situated in a friendly neighborhood on the lakeside of the highway, with easy access in winter. Only a 5 minute walk to Lake Tahoe, Sunnyside Bar, local markets, ski shuttle & bus service. Ideal location for both summer & winter activities, 2 miles from Tahoe City and close to ski areas, hiking & biking trails, shops and restaurants.

A bright open floor plan, with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, accommodates 6-8 people. The large sunny deck is equipped with BBQ, patio furniture & the back yard has a private hot tub.

The furnishings, HDTVs, DVD, AppleTV, Sonos whole-house audio, and Airplay-ready stereo offer the comforts of home away from home. The house is also completely Alexa-enabled so you can use voice to operate the virtual concierge as well as the smart home system. The house also includes high-speed internet access and wifi. Children are welcome and the inclusion of a port-a-crib and booster seat, plus plenty of toys & games, make it a very child friendly vacation rental.

The property includes access to the Tahoe Park private beach with 2 piers, BBQs, picnic tables, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, lawn and playground for children.

Please note our normal minimum stay is 2 nights; however over holiday weekends we have a 3 night minimum stay, Thanksgiving we have a 4 night minimum stay, Christmas and New Year we have a 5 night minimum stay, and during the summer months we have a 7 night minimum stay.

Please note our home is strictly an animal-free zone due to severe pet allergies

Start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Replace the beach key (summery only)
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
All guests will be required to sign our Rental Agreement. A security deposit (hold) is required to book this property.
A form to enter your credit card information for the security deposit will be sent to you after your reservation is confirmed.
The hold will be released 14 days after check-out if there is no damage to the property or breach of the rental agreement.

Fantastic spot for 2 families

Such a cozy cabin with great kitchen facilities, great kid's room and delightful hot tub and back yard. Close to the lake which would be great in the summer, was close to the slopes for winter time skiing and snow play. Would definitely stay here again with 1-2 families.

We had a great time at the Tahoe House! The location was great, very close to the beach with private access and amenities. Cute restaurants and market right there. We were four adults and two teenagers. We will be back!

Great place! Well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need! Loved the short walk to Sunnyside and Shadyside restaurants. Used the private hot tub daily. Great after skiing!

Lovely Lake Tahoe Cabin

Our group of 6 women enjoyed our stay in this Tahoe City gem. The kitchen was well stocked; we didn’t find ourselves missing anything needed for cooking. The summers in Lake Tahoe continue to be hot so it was awesome that box fans are provided. I will stay here again!

Great West Tahoe winter stay!

Fantastic home in a groat location near Tahoe City. Our two young boys loved the backyard for snowplay, building snowmen and making mazes while the adults appreciated the hot tub, as well as the fireplace in the main room. Close to Homewood and restaurants. Definitely recommend.

The house is fantastic - the furnishings are cozy and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. And you just can’t beat the location. Walking distance to the west shore market, Sunnyside, and the lake! And the hosts were equally fantastic. We had some last minute changes come up for our holiday plans and they were very accommodating. I definitely recommend vacationing here!

We were a part of 6 on a ski trip at this house offered us everything we needed: a 15 minute drive from Palisades, space to lay out all our gear, and an apres ski hot tub. The host had a very professional and thorough house manual, which made our stay feel like coming home at the end of each day.

Beautiful light-filled comfy lakeside cabin

The picture online don’t do this home justice. It’s beautifully and thoughtfully laid out and was perfect for a nice getaway. Only 1.5 block walk to the lakeside as well as conveniently located to great skiing/boarding. Comfy beds w/ plenty of space to accommodate a family. We only had 3-people and were able to spread out nicely. Well stocked kitchen made it easy to cook our own meals. Inviting and cosy family room w/ great light to the outdoors and a fun place to play board games. Loved the hot tub and detailed instructions on how to keep it clean & sanitized. Amanda was very responsive and accommodating and I can’t wait to stay here again!

Great Location

The house was exactly as pictured, although once inside, it felt much bigger. The kitchen was terrific and one of the best stocked we've ever experienced--a real bonus for all the cooks in our family. We loved being able to easily walk down the street a few minutes to the beach, to a few great restaurants, and to rental places for bikes/kayaks etc. The great location more than made up for the road noise from the highway and we would definitely rent here again. Amanda, the owner, could not have been more gracious and helpful in every communication, making our week-long stay absolutely wonderful.

This was the perfect house for a long weekend get away ! First of all the location is amazing, you have access to the lake, Outdoor games, kayaking , hikes, restaurants, grocery store, cafes, all a walk away ! The house itself is lovely, very spacious with a great surround sound and TV set up, modern appliances, comfortable furniture and an awesome hottub ! Our hosts knew how to make sure we had an unforgettable trip, leaving a binder of activities and local food places we could get to and making everything so easy for us ! Would DEFINITELY go back and plan on it !!
