I did not get the tent I reserved. The description for the 10-day reserved indicated it had a lake view as well as a toilet. Having a toilet was very important to us; it is the primary reason I booked. The lake view was a bonus I was willing to pay extra for. However, the tent we were assigned to had neither of these. And because there was no internet or phone service at the site, there was no way for me to contact the host and rectify the situation upon arrival. Thus, we stuck it out. The glamping area was clean in the beds were comfortable, and we were grateful for that. The park, of course, is gorgeous. We were worried about Sparks from our campfire lighting up the dry area around the site and wanted to put out our fire each night. However, the hose that was provided so far short of the fire area. I had to buy a hose for us to use for this purpose. At 9:30 a.m. the day we were preparing to leave, two strange men entered our tent without warning. They had been sent by the owner to change the A/C. They walked in as my niece was dressing. It was incredibly unprofessional and a gross violation of our privacy. This was the proverbial last straw for me. Ultimately we did not get the experience that we were promised and that we paid for. I cannot recommend this host nor this location.

Hi, LeeAnn, I am deeply sorry that you had this kind of glamping experience! Especially the tech situation - that is unacceptable and I would feel the same way - we've addressed this internally already so that protocol ensures this never happens again. I also appreciate you pointing out the confusion around the listing. I’ve gone back through and made updates so it’s much clearer exactly what each tent includes, so future guests know exactly what they’re booking. I do wish we had been able to connect while you were here. I know service can be spotty, but we’re always happy to jump in and fix things quickly when we know about them. That said, I’m really glad to hear you found the space clean and the beds comfortable, and that you got to enjoy the park—it really is a special place. I take your feedback seriously - we've also reached out directly to you to try and make this right.
