We are so grateful to have found this rental at the last minute after previous accommodations changed their pet policy (a week before Thanksgiving). Instructions for check in and check out were clear, the kitchen had everything we needed to make our food and coffee and clean up after ourselves. The view is gorgeous and the proximity to the pool and other amenities in the resort was so convenient. We would come back and recommend this place to others.
Great condo! Cute. Maybe could use a closet to hang items. The area wasnt the best for the activity we were there for. The resort wasnt the best for activities as the pool wasnt hested and the jacuzzi wasnt open. Other than downhill skiing there wasnt much else to do. Maybe better in the warmer weether for hiking. Would have probably been better if it were a 2 or 3 day ski vacation.
We had a lovely, quiet stay. The remote to the AC might have been out of battery and we should have thought to bring coffee with us (none there, but cute mugs and a coffee pot are available to use). It was a nice, serene respite away from the hustle and bustle of the Fall Foliage Festival in Bedford.
Convenient location for visiting family who live close by. The unit was well kept, very clean and had all amenities as listed. Pictures match description and there is an added bonus of hiking trails right on the property. We will be back!
The Dancing Bear could not have been better for me. The host was communicative, helpful, and accommodating. The condo was clean, comfortable, and convenient, and when the conditions are as good as they were this weekend, it’s a ski in ski out location. This was my first trip to blue knob, and I could not be more pleased with the experience.
This place is so Amazing, perfect location so close to ski mountain, think was about 1 mile! After our day of skiing, place was so warm and cozy, comfy bed.Restaurant next door.Excellent communication with host. WiFi and full stock kitchen.Only wishing could stayed longer.Hoping able stay again, even to see in the summer.Area was Beautiful and scenic mountains at Blue Knob.
I am actually a local a few towns over and needed a weekend getaway and decide to try skiing. This condo was super cute and the perfect size. It had everything you needed and more. My suggestion to anyone staying is to explore the property when you arrive so you know where everything is at. I am horrible with directions and couldn’t find the pool. I met up with friends in Altoona the next town over for food and shopping and even venture down to the clubhouse for drinks. This owner even added an extra night last min because I messed up my tease. . I strongly suggest a stay here anytime of the year. I will be back!
I loved this condo. It looks exactly like the pictures—super nice. It is a small space but it had everything I needed, including a table to work at and a good internet connection. I was there for a whole month and I run an online business, so the internet is crucial for me, and this place has fiber! I was able to finish two big projects while I was there, and I’m so grateful.
If you stay here, there are a lot of things with indicator lights, so if you like to sleep in the dark, I recommend bringing a pad of Post-It Notes to stick over them.
Once I had the lights covered, it was perfect for me. The unit backs up to the woods, and I loved staring at the trees all day while I was working, taking breaks on the balcony, and enjoying the cool mountain air. It got down into the 40s a few nights, so I even got to try out the electric fireplace, which I loved.
All in all, it was a great home away from home. I felt such peace and happiness there with all the trees. I hope to be back next year.
