Our Story:

Orlesa Farms has always been a part of our lives. Originally established as a family farm in Augusta County, we raised cattle and grew our deep appreciation for nature and simplicity. As the years passed, we decided to extend our passion for the land and its beauty by sharing it with others. When the opportunity to acquire the Top of Jack Mountain property arose, we knew it was a perfect fit.

Nestled atop Jack Mountain, this cabin offers the ideal blend of seclusion and accessibility, allowing guests to experience both the rugged charm of Highland County and the convenience of modern amenities. Though the cabin sits in a more rustic environment than our previous bed-and-breakfast property in Staunton, the idea remains the same: to provide a serene retreat where people can unwind and reconnect with nature.

Why We Chose This Neighborhood:

We fell in love with this location for its tranquil, slower pace and the sense of stepping back in time. Nestled among the trees, the cabin provides a secluded atmosphere where you can enjoy the sky and stars above the treetops, and the peacefulness of the surrounding woods. The rear portion of the property, with a fire pit, creates a serene setting perfect for reconnecting with nature.

Beyond its atmosphere, we also chose this spot for its proximity to some of the area's finest attractions. Within an hour's drive, you can explore the world-renowned Greenbrier Resort, ski the slopes at Snowshoe Mountain in the winter, or visit the nearby Hot Springs area. While you may hear an occasional truck pass by on Route 250, the cabin offers easy access without the hassle of steep, rugged mountain roads. As a weather emergency route maintained by VDOT year-round, you'll have peace of mind during all seasons, making this the ideal base camp for exploring the beauty of Highland County and beyond.

This makes it the perfect base for exploring nearby attractions like The Greenbrier Resort, Snowshoe Mountain for winter skiing, Cass Scenic Railroad, and the Hot Springs area-all within an easy drive.
