Beautiful downtown apartment -missing details matter
We loved this apartment. It's been mostly modernized and made to be a very comfortable living space. It has a great size kitchen with just about everything you need for cooking. It's decorated nicely with solid, brand name furniture and a comfortable mattress. We did not try the mattress in the back bedroom. This place would have five stars plus from us if it weren't for the following details that were omitted in the ad..... The location is about one block from a train track that runs routinely through the day and more importantly, the night. If you're not used to hearing that sound, it will keep you awake. One of the owners has a business downstairs and is there during the day. This is not an issue, except that rock music is played loudly through business hours. It cannot be heard from the pool room, living room, office or front bedroom. However, if anyone is on OK,the back porch reading or having a conversation or if someone is trying to sleep in the back bedroom. It would be a problem. I love music. But on my time. Because it's an old building, I could easily make out conversations and songs as I was ironing in the laundry room and cooking in the kitchen. Again, these may not be an issue for some. But I do feel like the information should be made available to possible renters and let the decision be left up to them. I feel a bit duped.
