The inside has live-edge touches to accentuate that woodsy feel and only 0.3 mi to quaint downtown Packwood with first-class coffee roaster/two craft breweries/restaurants and food trucks, 10 mi to Mt Rainier National Park, 19 mi to White Pass Ski Area & 48 mi to the crater side of Mt Saint Helen's and Windy Ridge Viewpoint. Packwood is in the heart of Gifford Pinchot National Forest & magically visited by elk that stop traffic as visitors leave their cars for photos.

The property was spot on. It was clean, close to town, and after a long day of hiking the hot tub was a huge benefit! It was also nice to have the ability to do our laundry 1/2 way through our trip.

Cleanliness, ease of use, simple process of check-in and checkout. This is a great hub for all the area offers for outdoor activity. The hot tub isn't very private and the view of mountains, when not shrouded by clouds, is obscured by trees. Nice, simple place in the middle of a compound of rentals.

The Bird House was such a delight. Very warm and welcoming for a great escape to Mt Rainier. Very clean, cozy and well appointed. Wonderful surroundings that made us feel at home. We would love to come back for even a longer stay.

Hosted exchange students for years (2 German, 2 Japanese, 2 Koreans, and 1 Colombian). Fred retired from teaching after 20 yrs & was a Realtor for 7. We owned Subway stores for 20 yrs in Portland, OR & currently retired in Packwood, WA where we manage 4 vacation rentals on adjacent properties. We love hosting family & friends . . . and keep on dancing!
