Graceful home w/ open deck, golf course views, and private pool in Wild Dunes

Beautiful 5 bedroom beach home in gated Wild Dunes Resort. Walk to the beach (250 yards) or lounge by the private pool surrounded by a large gated deck with golf course views.
Inside you will find a very open floor plan with plenty of room for great family gatherings. Upgraded kitchen with under-counter ice maker, granite counter-tops, and a large center island. Kitchen overlooks the living room and breakfast area. Living room, kitchen, and dining room all have lots of natural light and look out onto the private pool and gated deck area. In the dining room, there is a large over-sized dining table with plenty of room for wonderful family gatherings.
On the main floor are 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. First two bedrooms (Queen Beds) have a shared bathroom. Third bedroom (queen and twin) has a private bathroom with shower only. Primary bedroom has en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower (no tub) and opens on to the pool deck. At the end of the hall (furthest from the living room) over the garage, there is a second floor bedroom with 3 twin beds. Large flat screen TVs in the living room and in each bedroom. Living room TV has YouTube TV for local channels and ESPN and streaming, all other TVs are streaming only (Roku).

The front bed squeaked with every move and my son and his girlfriend ended up sleeping on the floor after the first night. The house was very well stocked and everything else was great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WOW! This property was absolutely what our 4 families needed. There is plenty of space for us all to watch a movie or put together a puzzle. The kitchen was fully stocked with cups, utensils, baking wear, plates, and a pantry for all our snacks. You can just walk to the beach and setup for the day, or quick drive to North Charleston for shopping. We had some young kids with us and the pool offered them something to do when we were making supper. The property is well loved which was perfect for our busy families. Next time we are here, we will definitely use Island Realty to find our beach house.

Family Vacation

Location was great, just a 5 minute walk to the ocean. The house, pool and deck were just what we were looking for. All on the same floor but good amount of bedrooms and enough bathrooms for everyone to spread out. We rented bikes for the week which was perfect as there is a long bike path to ride them on. Overall the week was fantastic!

The best girls trip location!

This house was perfect for our girls trip! We were able to easily catch an uber to Charleston, Shem Creek and Sullivans Island areas all for under a 30 min ride. We also loved the walk along the golf course to view Wild Dunes resort as well as the walk along the beach back home! Plenty of space for a large group and the pool area was an added bonus!

There is lots of space inside the home to move around. Each bedroom had its own bathroom.( with the exception of the bungalow) I definitely would look at staying at this property on our next visit.

House was beautiful but needs small updates

House was beautiful. Ice machine near bar counter was a nice addition. Master bedroom and shower were amazing. The upstairs was very hot and there was 1 tiny fan up there but didn’t help much. The kitchen serving ware/cooking utensils etc were not in great condition. Knives were literally falling apart as we used them. Rug under dining room table was filthy. No colander, had to use a frying basket to wash fruit in. The pool and deck were dirty when we got there. Maintenance did come clean it up after we called though which I appreciated. House is beautiful and in great location just needs some updated kitchen gadgets.

Great house

The house was really great! Used it for a bachelorette party and the lay out was perfect!! I wish the listing would have stated it's managed by a third party company that will send you one million emails, and that you need to check in at a separate location about 10 minutes away. Only other negative is there are no pantry essentials, no salt/pepper, foil or things like that. Also only provided one roll of paper towels and one additional trash bag.

Deep cleaning needed

The overall house was very accomodating, but we noticed several areas that needed attention. All 4 bathrooms had visible mold/black substance on the ceiling close to the exhaust vent. This was very concerning as several of us were not sure what we were breathing in. We also noticed that the toilet bowl lids were lose which I realize is an easy fix. One of the guest that stayed in one of the queen beds mentioned that the headboard was not attached, and therefore made a horrible rocking noise all night. I personally had to change at least 3 lightbulbs, and ended up reporting one of the light fixtures to maintenance which they mentioned that the entire light fixture needs to be replaced. Truthfully I feel horrible for the homeowner as they probably are paying a decent amount of money for maintenance/cleaning services, and several things are not being taken care of.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of the house was great for a large group. The pool was a nice size and deck was lovely to have. The furniture in the living room needs updated. The chairs were uncomfortable to sit in and rugs need replaced. The ice machine wasn’t cleaned and needs replaced. Although the deck is a nice size, it needs sanded and refinished. We had several toddlers who would fall when walking because the deck was so slick. I ended up buying doorknob covers to prevent kids from accessing the pool, which made us all nervous. It’s a good trek to the beach, because you can’t hop right across Palm Blvd. I will be using another realty company to book our next house.

Nice house, final day disappointing

Check out is 10 am, there was a housekeeper sitting on our porch and 9:25 watching us, very uncomfortable. Based on what you pay there should be no one on the property until 10:01. Also, my daughter left 2 articles of clothing in her room. Based on Island Realty cost and reputation I assumed they would have a firm policy re items left behind. That anything found must be turned in. I contacted housekeeping within a few hours after we left assuming the housekeeper would turn them in. Housekeeping's response was not proactive but very reactive, if the clothing happens to be turned in we will let you know. Of course that was the last we heard from Island Realty's housekeeping. Very disappointing

Vines flowing into the pool, caterpillars falling from trees all over the deck and into the pool. Not great if you are looking for sun coverage. The back deck needs a lot of work. Poor landscaping in the front. Beds were stiff, except the master bed. Poor working AC unit in the home. Bugs weren't terrible, but not great either. I'm not sure how much of that can be controlled in the warm weather, and the overwhelming vegetation doesn't help either. The back can get a little loud with the cars driving by and people walking by, but it's not terrible and still feels private enough. The xfinity and/or the roku didn't work on most of the TV's. The home had the amenities we wanted-pool, close beach access, wash/dryer, key code access. Beautiful kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. It was nice that they took care of the trash/recycling for us. Not sure I'd stay here again, would look elsewhere first.

Not the Vacation Home that was Expected or Promoted

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To start, the approach to the property was horrific. The frontage appears to have never been mowed and a dirt/sand/leave covered front steps and porch meant tracking it into the house as we unloaded our gear. There were many issues that showed neglect for the property: 1. Window blinds were ripped, torn, shoddy and raised unevenly- showing a lack of care for the property. 2. The furniture was beaten, worn and stained.3. Many appliances weren't functional or in need of replacement (dishwasher had rusted out racks and required pre-and post cleaning of dishes, the hand mixer has parts floating around inside it and the beaters did not stay in the mixer when in use, one of the blenders didn't have a matching top, pots and pans were mismatched with some parts, (the steamer/deep fat fryer not fitting any pan in the home), etc.4. The master bathroom had mildew and worms in the shower which needed removal upon arrival-not the best first impression. There was also a giant stain on the wall in the master bathroom that couldn't be washed away (I tried).5. There was a broken tile along the side of the pool which one of my daughter's almost injured herself when stepping around the outside.6. There was an abundance of trash and broken toys around the outside of the deck.8. There was a hornets nest in the outdoor shower.9. There was an abundance of flies that seemed to knowingly arrive at dinner time-don't know what that's about or how to fix it.10. There was a big smudge on the outside of the picture window overlooking the pool.11. The AC was inadequate to properly cool the main living area of the home let alone the upstairs 3 bed bedroom. The AC was set as directed and the house was at 80 degrees during the day. The upstairs bedroom was extremely hot and needed to be avoided during the day. We moved a rotating fan into the room to create at least an air flow-but to have a room with 3
