About the host
Hosted by Mrs Matheson
Keeping the property clean and beautiful is my goal. I am happy to provide local information and suggestions to guests on the many events and venues a close drive away. I always ask new Guest to please ask me if there’s anything they would like to have in the house that they can’t find or that’s not there at the moment. I’m happy to drop by with anything that they might need.
Why they chose this property
Markham was the ‘outback’ of Middleburg when I grew up there in the 70s. Markham still has a little more rustic feel but many of my old friends and neighbors from the middleburg area are now neighbors in Markham. 66 makes travel to and from DC much easier than from Route 50 and we are close distance to the many lovely villages like Upperville, Paris, Dell plane, Marshall The Plains and even middleburg
What makes this property unique
Most guess the first comments are how lovely the home is and much more accommodating than many Airbnb’s. I’m not pushing for huge groups for the maximum return. We often get executives traveling to the area for work projects and to be out in the country rather than Northern Virginia hotels. And we have amazingly reliable Wi-Fi from T-Mobile that connects to their 5G tower due west and Woodstock. This area has been plague with the lack of reliable Wi-Fi for years.
