The Summit Two Bedroom Condo

Welcome to The Summit at Massanutten Resort

You can?t beat the views from The Summit! Conveniently named for their location on top of Massanutten Mountain, The Summit condos offer breathtaking views of the upper resort paired with newly renovated living spaces.

The Summit condos are built townhouse style and the two bedroom units can accommodate a total of six people. These condos can include either a full or partial kitchen while the living area includes a queen size sleep sofa, a gas fireplace, and access to private deck. The first bedroom includes a king bed, the second bedroom includes two twin beds, and one of the two full bathrooms includes a Jacuzzi tub. A shared washer and dryer are available for use inside the foyer.

Each condo includes 6 complimentary recreation passes that provide free access to Woodstone Recreation Center and Massanutten Fitness & Rec Club. The whole family will enjoy access to the indoor and outdoor pools, basketball and tennis courts, fitness centers, game rooms and more! The Summit are also located just minutes away from exciting resort attractions like the Family Adventure Park, Ski Slopes, Campfire Grill, and Mountain Greens Golf Course.

We are a family of 5 (two adults and three boys aged 3-9), and we stayed for a quick weekend away and to visit nearby Luray Caverns. When using the address provided in the instruction email, our GPS (Maps on an iPhone) marked us as "arrived" at the entrance to Massanutten. After a little trial-and-error, we found our way to "Check-In" near the pool. That was the only reason for the 4/5 star rating provided about communication. We did not have to communicate with the host otherwise. The condo was clean, comfortable, and provided just enough space for everyone to spread out. We were surprised that, despite the "quiet hours beginning at 8 PM," the resort featured live music that could be heard clearly from our condo, which was a 7-minute drive from the recreation center. It didn't detract from our stay, but it was definitely noisy until 11 PM both nights (Friday and Saturday). We appreciated having a dryer available to use after visiting the pool on Saturday. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with just the right amount of necessities for cleaning up. Overall, we would happily stay at this property again in the future.

It was even better than what I was expecting. Everything was perfect except for the WiFi being down while we were there. Cellular still worked well on our phones and having DirectTv was brilliant given the fact it does not need WiFi. The communication details for checking in and checking out were extremely difficult to find, there’s no heads-up about what email address the confirmation is coming from, and the toll free number to call took me around in circles, left me on hold for a long time only to end up being prompted to leave a voicemail. It wasn’t until an hour before we arrived that I finally found a number to call and was instructed to go to the front desk of the main complex. The website link in one of the emails doesn’t work very well when using a cell phone, so if you’re not bringing a computer it can make things difficult. The site it takes you to doesn’t adapt well so you can only see some of the information. So the tech part of things was frustrating, but we still had a wonderful time and were very pleased with our stay.
