Pelicans Roost provides great accommodation in wonderful location. We adopted the theme Love Sanibel Back to celebrate recovery from Hurricanes Ian and Milton.

Have stayed here for years prior to hurricane Ian. First time back. Place looks great and appreciate room cleanliness. Bedding and beach towels subpar to previous. Tons of extra pillows in closets, but no pillowcases for them. King bed should come with 4 pillows (only 2 provided). Washing machine did not work well…would not complete cycle with towels on towel or bulky setting (reported and someone came, but no report on a solution). Found cockroach (alive) in the dryer and bathroom. Cleaning staff was waiting outside our room at 9:45 am on day of checkout while we were moving our things out…felt pressured to leave early (10 am checkout). Pool bathrooms did not look like they were cleaned at all during the week. No toilet paper in bathrooms. Tried to tell the cleaning staff on premises and they acted like it was their responsibility. Would come back but disappointed with lack of more personal touches.

We also apologize for the experience with the cleaning staff on your departure day—we understand how that could feel rushed and will ensure this is reviewed with the team. Additionally, we will notify the association regarding the condition of the pool bathrooms, as that is not up to the standard we expect. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us improve.
