I agree with the by-line that this house is a hidden gem. It's a lovely home with cute lighthouse decor and a nice paved parking area for several vehicles. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much in this clean and well-kept lake house.

Outside cleanliness of house is great, and house is well stocked with amenities. The showers and bathrooms were great. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. Location is great for the area with easy access and a quiet neighborhood.Unfortunately there are some underlying things that bring this listing down.Despite many air fresheners deployed in the house, there is an underlying stink of the house being smoked in for many years, with nicotine staining in the walls to match. Additionally, the walls were cracking from signs of foundation damage, and cobwebs in corners with bugs in them. The couch in the living room is very uncomfortable with signs of heavy use and lumpy cushions. The other reclining chair in the living room was the only marginally comfortable source of seating.Both beds are worn out completely with a cheap mattress topper trying to help with support. Do make sure to bring your own pillows.The dishwasher in the kitchen was not emptied, and we were not sure if the dishes were clean or not, so we left them be.If the furniture was updated and the smells properly abated in this property, it would be a 5/5 property.

Barrett thank you so much for review, I’m so sorry that you didn’t feel comfortable in our Vrbo. I do try to keep it clean and for the most part, I think I’ve had a pretty good reviews on that, the mattresses are a year and a half old we had one gentleman that stayed for three months out here for a work trip and he obviously liked the middle of the master bed. You’re only the second person to stay there after this gentleman has left, we will be sure to address that, we live on the lake, so it’s harder to keep bugs away. I do a monthly cleaning for the ceilings since ladders are needed. You just so happen to be the first of the month and they hadn’t got to it yet, but it has been addressed. I try to keep a Vrbo that everybody can come to see the lake. There’s plenty of properties from Cedar Creek Lake to choose from with a wide range. Sounds like you need to stay in a place at 300 to 400 a night versus mine that’s like 150-200 everybody has preferences I feel like I have great reviews everybody has been happy, I guess it just wasn’t a fit for your liking, I hope next time you make it out to the lake you find something more enjoyable.
