Snow trip

Had a wonderful stay. My family enjoyed walking to the town shops in the evening.Cabin is a short 20 minute drive from all snow parks making it easy for multiple trips back and forth from snow to cabin. Plenty of space inside to gather together or relax solemnly even with a large group. The last day of our trip we woke up to a beautiful snow covered scenery.

I would have given it a 5 star. House was spacious, loved the dinning table and space was big enough for us to seat and eat together. It would be nice if it had a dishwasher , we were a large group and cooked, didn’t provide enough dish soap. Could have used more towels. Upstairs primary and second large bedroom sheets were not freshly washed smelled like body odor. Rest were clean. Could use a newer couch. Play room was nice to have, we didn’t really use it but nice, cold. Outdoor lights outside of kitchen were down on the ground so couldn’t really use it,I tried to pick them up because of safety hazard.but need to be repaired. I wish had took picture.

Grand Welcome Center is a nightmare! Avoid any properties they host!!

From the erroneous description to the nonexistent communication to the dangerous environment, this booking was a nightmare. For starters, we booked this stay because of the fireplace. Which is there, but according to the property guidelines after arrival, “is not to be used by guests.” We waited for check in information with no communication after numerous attempts. We contacted VRBO and they too were unable to contact the host. At 3;35 on the day of check in, we finally received check in info. Because of the late info, we didn’t arrive at the property until after dark. None of the house numbers are illuminated and we searched for over an hour to find the property. Upon arrival, the front porch was covered with 6” of snow snd the back with a sheet of ice. One of our party fell trying to enter the property. Upon entering the property, no hot water and no response from the host regarding safe entrance, hot water, and advertised fireplace. All in all a frustrating, dangerous, and cold vacation. If you see Grand Welcome Center as host, move on. VRBO cannot even make them make it right.
