About this property

Glamping at Maine Water Buffalo Farm

Submerge yourself in farm life on Maine's only water buffalo farm, while enjoying a slice of Maine beauty. Quietly located in mid-coast Maine at the end of a dirt road, the picturesque farm offers a place to hear your own thoughts, reconnect with values & breathe in the fresh air. This is a cozy retreat for guests looking to unwind. Fantastic location… just off of the beaten path. Head to a nearby pond or lake (less than 10 min. away) for swimming, boating or fishing, or take daily excursions into nearby coastal towns such as Belfast (20 min. away), Camden (25 min. away), Rockland (40 min. away) or Bar Harbor (less than 2 hrs. away). Your glamping stay is in a furnished, canvas 4M (13' diameter) bell tent & includes access to a picnic table, a private firepit & a charcoal grill. Facilities include a porta-potty & a rustic outdoor shower (towels provided). The bell tent is furnished with a full size bed (linens/bedding provided) & a twin size seat that can fold out to a sleeping mat (linens/bedding provided upon request). This tent can sleep up to 4. Guests are welcomed to spend their time on the farm leisurely watching the animals, playing lawn games (corn hole), toasting marshmallows for s'mores, listening to peepers (frogs), visiting the farmstore for farm goodies, napping in the hammock or just lounging, take leisure walks on wooded trails that start feet from your glamp site, head to a nearby pond or lake for swimming, boating or fishing, or take daily excursions into nearby coastal towns.
Guests are welcome to visit with the farm animals but are not permitted inside of their pastures & pens.
