Giovanna was prompt to meet us at the property, very helpful on pointing out things of interest and events and places to eat and buy focaccia. The apartment was clean and charming and we had a marvelous time

Thanks a lot, Will
I am very happy to know that you enjoyed our apartment.
If you come back to Lucca, it would be really a pleasure
have you as our guests again, you are always welcome!
Thank you so much!!!
We loved our gracious hostess and the proximity to the city center, train station and bistros too numerous to count! Easy day trips to cinque Terre, Siena and Florence with a few transfers to each!
Giovanna, the host, was spectacular. She is a very caring, nice lady. She was very responsive and was interested in making sure our trip was up to our expectations. We had 5 people in the apartment. Three rooms have air conditioning. We ran it for 10 days while we were in the apt and she only charged me what she paid which was only 122 for that 10 day period - well worth it! The apartment was lovely. The washer was a nice plus and there was a clothesline for drying. Plenty of towels for our group. The location is great too! Lucca is a cute town and being in the middle of it was a great choice for us. We highly recommend her and any properties she owns, especially this one. Grazie Mille!
The apartment was lovely and the location fantastic. Giovanna was very gracious and helpful. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay in LUCCA - Centro Storico.

This property as well as the owner is wonderful! I cant say enough about how ki d and helpful she was. The apartnebt was clean charming comfortable and located in what is possibly the best part of Lucca.
Spacious, clean apartment with very gracious hostess. Location couldn’t be better. Steps away from our favorite gelato shop, favorite coffee/pastry shop and exit from inside the wall to train station.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is large, bright and has great access to both the train station and the city center. There are a couple of cafes very close by as well where we enjoyed breakfast. Giovanna was a great host. She is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Lucca!
Very nice apartment; everything was in walking distance. Many restaurants nearby. Short walk from the train station. Giovanna was very helpful. We had some problems with the hot water but Giovanna was very responsive.
From the moment we walked into this beautiful property, I knew we had made the right choice!! Filled with light, spacious….and so much character. Perfect location close to everything! Giovanna was a gracious hostess and anything we needed she was there to help! I would not hesitate to stay here again!
This Apartment was in a great location for us. We were on the 3 rd level but the stairs were not a problem for us. I would stay in this apartment again . As an American I did not realize that C indicates Hot water and F cold water. Quite funny after I figured it out. Inside the Walls of Lucca is the only way to visit .
Location was superb. The apartment had absolutely everything you could possibly need including maps, recommendations, etc. Kitchen was lovely.
Since we four happen to be in our 70's, the only negative for us were the 42 steps. However, Giovanna was there to help us when we initially arrived.
We had a superb trip to Lucca, Italy starting with this comfortable apartment centrally located near all the amenities and historical treats inside the walled city. A short walk from the south gate across from the train station, we were able to walk to each of our planned sites. Giovanna was a wonderful host, who was available to provide great recommendations when requested and gave us plenty of space to enjoy this beautiful city.
The location is wonderful! I wanted to make some meals ""at home"". The grocery store was within walking distance and the kitchen had everything we needed. In addition the regional train station was within walking distance which made a day trip to Pisa very easy.
Giovanna our host answered every email prior to our arrival. She met us at the apartment to review the property and suggestions for activities.
Lucca and Giovanna, thank you for making Lucca a city we want to visit again!

Dear Jeanne and Patrick,
thank you for writing this beautiful review, I am really glad you enjoyed your stay in Lucca and would be happy to seeing you again,
you are always welcome!!!
All the best and thanks again

We loved our stay at this apartment in Lucca. Conveniently located to train station, bus stops, Supermarket , shops and restaurants. We had hoped for an Italian home away from home and that’s exactly what we got. The kitchen and all rooms were stocked to make our stay comfortable and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. We enjoyed day trips to Pisa, Cinque Terre and Tuscan towns. At night we enjoyed strolling and exploring inside the walls. Bike riding on the walls was a highlight for the family. Giovanna was a fabulous friendly host, who gave us lots of information.
I have stayed in several apartments in Lucca and Puccini has an unusual amount of natural light and windows, and is very nicely furnished and appointed. We enjoyed a lovely cross-breeze through the open windows on warm June days and had views of a beautiful, large garden. Everything we needed for cooking and serving meals was available and the bathrooms were well stocked. Giovanna could not have been a more welcoming, positive and warm host -- whenever we needed anything she arrived with it almost immediately, and with a smile.
We loved the Giovanna's apartment - it was very clean and brilliantly well equipped. We arrived a little early in the middle of a thunderstorm and Giovanna's graciously let us in and welcomed us to her apartment. We had a lovely week, the location is excellent for sight seeing, shopping and relaxing, there are great little bars, cafes and restaurants right outside the door, its an easy walk to the supermarket and there was even a roundabout/ carousel nearby which our 7 year old twins loved. The apartment has a warm welcoming feel and I loved cooking in the well equipped kitchen with the beautiful garden view. The weather was very wet the week we stayed but knowing we could come back and get warm, dry and comfortable was great. Giovanna was the perfect host.
I hesitate to tell anyone about this place because then everyone will want to stay at this property. It was absolutely perfect in all respects. I have never stayed at a cleaner or well equipped property. I am missing not being there. Even on a rainy day it is a great place to be looking out over the roofs of Lucca and listening to the rain, sitting in the comfortable lounge and plotting our next outing There are stairs to climb so a note of caution to those with difficulties.
This is the second time we've rented this property. Liked it so much that we came back. Giovanna is lovely and helpful. The apartment is perfect. Good layout and has everything you might need. It's a climb to the apartment (3rd floor by American standards) - if you have mobility issues, i suggest trying elsewhere. Window screens aren't really a thing in Europe, so respect the occasional mosquito. AC is extra, but respect only a couple $ or € per day unless you really crank it. Parking is at the train station, if you want it. Most of the walled city of a ZTL, which makes it nice for pedestrians.
Location is great, close to Porto san Pietro, within the walls. Train station is a quick walk. Small grocery store is an easy walk, but a big supermarket will require a car.
I would happily come back again. Lucca is a delight and this is a lovely place to stay while you're there.

Dear Mattew and family,
Thank you very much for your positive review of your recent stay at our apartment. It would be a pleasure to have you as our guests, you are always welcome.
Thanks again,
Giovanna
The property is as exactly described, but that doesn't really do it justice. The location is just about perfect, very close to Porta San Pietro but pretty well shielded from random street noise. There are several good bakeries (Dolce e Pane has great bread in the morning) and gelato shops within a couple blocks and you can't walk 5 minutes without finding a good cafe. If you're coming with kids, the carousel is pretty close.
The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and lovely. You could reasonably fit six people here. Two double beds, two twins. It's on the third floor (by American counting) and they are tall floors - this might be difficult for those with issues climbing stairs. Assuming that's not an issue for you, you will love it.
Giovanna was efficient and pleasant and very helpful. Everything worked out really well. Though it's not really part of the property listing or my review, the downstairs neighbors are very nice, too.
Lucca itself is just a wonderful town. Not too big, not too small, not too touristy.
We'll be back to Lucca and I sincerely hope to stay right here again.

Dear Matthew,
your words of appreciation are so much appreciated! Thanks for choosing our apartment.
Thanks again and we hope to see you again.
Francesco and Giovanna
Very friendly host. She meets in person for both check in and check out. She responds quickly to questions. Large and attractive space. Perfect location. About 3 flights of stairs to climb- we had no trouble but offering that info for people who may struggle.
