Great getaway location for a couple. Very quiet and relaxing. Plan ahead as there are a few interesting things to do. There's a bourbon tasting tour, local flea market, great food options, park with a trail.... Make the most of this beautiful getaway.

cute cabin located close to many things to do. Has gas logs and a fire pit outside. nice for hanging out. easy to get in and out of as far as parking and located right by road. it was perfect for our busy get away weekend.

We didn’t get to stay I did not receive the code and host was unavailable but VRBO and host stepped up and made sure we had alternative places to stay and we hope to stay in the future the cabin was beautiful!!

It is an older cabin with an attempt to make it modern. The interior pictures you see on the listing are right after a fresh coat of paint, years ago? They have had some water damage or leaks in the ceiling as evident from the stains and bubbles in the bedroom and bathroom. The outside was pleasant.The host is not very helpful. I made a mistake in booking Fri to Mon vice Fri to Sun. I made contact the day after booking, I was told she couldn't change it and I had to do it on the app. The app said i had to contact the host since I already paid. I tell her what the app says and a day later she "fixes" it.Her fix is to increase the nightly price by 50 and refund me only 45.When I asked why, she says "Sorry about that, take it up with VRBO we didn't receive that money or that amount"I sent a screen shot of the receipt and have heard nothing since.Stay here only if you don't have to work with the host.

Cabin time

We were in town for the nc state bowling tournament me my wife and daughter we loved our stay at the cabin we enjoyed some time at the burn pit at night our daughter loved the drive way to ride her bike overall was a very comfy stay

Loved our stay at the red roof house!

Loved our stay here! Everything was as expected. All of the things to relax were provided. The swing and rocking chairs on the front porch. Hammocks and Fire pit out back! Cozy living space and soft comfortable beds. Melissa was so helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Rustic cabin in quiet area

Very accommodating host who helped secure a last minute, 2 night stay. Very rustic decor with comfortable seating, Plenty of parking. Only 4* for location as the cabin is In a rural area about 5 minutes to highway and 25 minutes to Lake Norman. This was fine for us a would be fine for anyone looking for someplace off the beaten path Very user friendly yard with patio out back and porch with swing in front. A great value for us versus a hotel room.

Check in was supposed to be at 2 pm. After realizing I had not received check in info an hour and a half before check in, I messaged the host however did not hear back until the evening of the day we were supposed to check in. Furthermore, I was told where the key was, and once we had to switch plans and go somewhere else for the day we were finally able to make it to the property late at night, we then found the key was not where I was told it was. With two very tired kids, this was very inconvenient. Once we were finally able to get inside, after reading info that was inside the cabin, I figured out where the originally key was, which was a completely different spot than the host had said. Overall, not a good experience. An extra day was offered to us, however, due to time restraints we could not do that, and when I stated that, no other sort of refund or anything was offered. We will choose somewhere else next time we are in the area visiting family.
