The location couldn't have been better! I wanted a place to stay near my cousin in Oakland, and Karen's VRBO was a fast, although hilly, walk away. The unit was adorable with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfy, the shower hot, the neighborhood quiet and peaceful. Communication with Karen was easy and always timely. I would not hesitate to recommend the place or stay there again.

Outstanding Oakland Spot

Super convenient location close to family we were visiting. Karen was one of the friendliest, most delightful hosts I've ever stayed with in many, many years as a user of all the "BnB" platforms. Highly recommended and would book again!

I had a very nice and relaxing stay with my partner at Karen's home in Oakland. The interior of the house was very welcoming and had really nice amenities including snack bar, coffee bar, full kitchen and dining room. The bed was super comfy and loved the entire layout of the house. The bathroom was very nice clean and organized. Will definitely be back for another stay!

This place was perfect for my business stay. The amenities including the kitchen, WiFi and shower made me feel at home. It was a great space to work, do homework and relax. I was able to cook like I do at home as it was close to Trader Joe’s. I found many great coffee shops and truly appreciated being able to park in the driveway. I felt safe behind the locked gate and the automatic lighting added an additional safety element. The host was very responsive when I had a question. I look forward to staying again!

This was my second time staying here and the next time I’m in town for work I will book again. The location is perfect with coffee and groceries close. The home itself is comfortable and has everything needed including a full fridge and stove to cook as well a coffee maker for my early morning at home coffee needs. The shower and fire place are my favorite amenities as well as the private and secure entrance. It’s well lighted at the gate and door which I greatly appreciate. I cannot say enough great things about it! Thank you!!

Great communication

Very comfortable, extremely clean, great amenities like a full sized fridge and gas stove. We appreciated the bed with a real mattress, not a memory-foam cheap mattress that can be uncomfortable. The host was very responsive. The only issue was there's not much street parking, but that may not be a problem a lot of the time. We parked in the driveway and had to shuffle cars a couple times. Overall it's a GREAT place to stay! Thank you to a great host!

Thank you for your detailed feedback and kind words about the apartment! I’m glad you found the space clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I appreciate you pointing out the issues with the wooden utensils and the bathroom lighting and water leak—your observations are very helpful. I’ve already noted these and will be making improvements to ensure future guests have an even better experience. It was a pleasure hosting you, and I truly appreciate your communication during your stay!
