We enjoyed our stay at the Cascade Mountain Chalet. The king beds and couch were comfy. The kitchen had all the gadgets and cookware you would need with a commercial size gas range. Our favorite was the hot tub after a day of hiking. Judi was an attentive host and made us feel welcome and was accessible if we needed her. Nice side yard to play in and walk the dog. We enjoyed the attractions nearby and had a great meal at a host recommended restaurant nearby.

This was our second time staying here and it worked out great. Our friend plays in the Lacrosse Tournament in Lake Placid each year so the location is a 15-20 minute drive to the fields and downtown Placid. Its a central location for the sights we like to see like the Summit at Whiteface, Jay Covered Bridge, John Brown Estate, Wilmington Park to launch our kayaks. Has a nice big yard. We have 2 dogs so bring portable fences to give them a contained space while we are there. Our one dog isn't good with other dogs so this is nice and private without off-leash dogs running around (which is a nightmare for us). Beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Would definitely stay again.

House was exactly as described, oven and kitchen were very cook friendly! Location is so close to Lake Placid, and Adirondack Mountains, just perfect distance away but close and easy to whatever you would like to do. Host checked with us on day of arrival to make sure we were in and everything was in order. Definitely would stay again.

Great Location

Great location for what we came for - hiking in the region. Good space and being dog friendly was everything we needed. Having the hot tub after long days of hiking was fantastic. An easy spot to stay with our friend.

Quiet, relaxing and close to skiing

Wonderful property close to skiing. Quiet, clean and everything we needed for a week. Perfect location to unwind away with the family. Room enough for our two Teenagers, with the hot tub and sauna creating an even more relaxing experience. Thanks to Kim and Todd for a well designed and appointed home.

Amazing experience!

The property was absolutely perfect. Communication with property owner was by far the best. I would highly recommend this place for a group of people adults and children. Definitely plan to rent this for future trips.

Best location for skiing

This house was only 4 minutes from skiing at Whiteface. After a day of skiing, it was wonderful to relax in the outdoor hot tub. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked with essentials.

... close to intended destinations, but privacy as well. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Just two of us, but both the home and the property/yard offered plenty of room for activities for a larger family at any time of year.

Fantastic winter getaway

We had a great time staying here! The house was so lovely and we especially enjoyed the hot tub. Great yard area for my dog as well. The yard is not fenced and is right near a road so I would definitely suggest a longline/tie out line for your dogs. Everything was super clean, and we appreciated the high quality cookware/kitchen equipment. Great access for hiking/outdoor activities and a short drive into Lake Placid. Highly recommend!

Clean and easy

Clean rental, easy process, and no extra surprise fees. They do require some work on the back end if you bring pets, but it’s certainly fair since there is no pet fee. Would recommend.

Great job friendly rentals is a perfect location

The house is well situated in the Adirondacks for so many great things to go see. The house was lovely and super clean. The hot tub was a real nice bonus, right outside the kitchen door. One of the most dog friendly rentals we’ve had with no pet fee. The only thing to be aware of is there are two bathrooms, but one is on the first floor, which is a little inconvenient for the two bedrooms.
