Our newly renovated Victorian house is ideal for large families. Enjoy sitting out on our large front porch having your morning coffee and feel the cool bay breeze. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. There are 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor that includes: 1 king bed and 3 queen beds. The 3rd floor is an ideal space for kids. There are 3 daybeds and 2 trundles. There is also a kitchenette with a mini fridge and a couch. The house has a living room and a den. Our kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals. There is an outdoor shower and foot wash to make it convenient to wash off after you've come back from the beach. Bikes and beach toys are provided. The house is only 1 block from the beach and is walking distance to main street and the park. Cape Charles is ideal for a family vacation!

If bringing a dog, we require it to be potty trained, crated if left unattended and flea medication applied before arrival. We do charge a $175 non refundable pet fee.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
In the winter, turn heat to 65º F. In the summer, turn air conditioning to 72º F in energy efficient mode and leave the ceiling fans on.

Another terrific stay!

This year was our fifth staying at The Grand Escape. It’s perfect for families and larger groups. Everyone was comfortable and appreciated the roominess and cleanliness of the house. The location can’t be beat, two blocks to the beach and one short block to Mason Avenue! We especially love sitting on the front porch. Thanks for another great stay!

Great location 2 blocks from the beach. House was perfect for two families. Our kids loved the bunk room and it was great that each bedroom has a bathroom. We also really enjoyed the front porch, which had plenty of seating.

This house had everything we could possibly need for a full week, and the location was even better! The kitchen was well stocked, every bed was comfortable, there was plenty of seating at the dinner table for a large group, and we could walk to anything that we wanted.

July family vacation

We've vacationed in Cape Charles several times and find it to be perfect for our two grandchildren (ages 5 and 7). This house is spacious enough for our group and close to both the water and the ice cream store. Grand Escape is a very comfortable house with historic charm.

Great corner spot

This was our second time to this house and it didn’t disappoint- close to beach and main drag makes it an awesome location and it’s spacious and well equipped. Owners were super responsive and even got us in house a smidge early when the cleaning finished up 👍🏻 Love the porch and people watching - would highly recommend!

Our family has vacationed for several years in Cape Charles and we fell in love with the town. Every time we visited, we always looked at the area and wanted a place of our own. We came upon this house and knew that it would fit our entire family in the house comfortably (We as the grandparents, our 3 kids and their spouses and our 8 grandkids).
