We loved our stay here - Hans was a wonderful host and did amazing renovating this cabin into a cozy, charming stay. Its the perfect distance from downtown to get to activities while still feeling like a quiet retreat. It was a good size for our group of 3 and 2 dogs, and I would recommend staying again!
I’ve spent most of my life working in tourism and guest services, from Colorado to the Caribbean. I sold my sail charter business in the USVI to settle in the mountains and raise my son. We love Asheville and know you will too!
Why they chose this property
Chunn’s Cove is known throughout Asheville as a special place. Its rural feel and peaceful location is unique within an 8 minute drive of downtown. It’s truly the best of both worlds.
What makes this property unique
This cabin has been my work and passion for two years. I purchased an abandoned, foreclosed property and turned it into what my partner describes as “a warm hug.” I put in lots of windows for natural light and to bring the outside in. I lofted the ceiling and knocked out walls to give it an airy feel, and used recycled and refurbished materials to give it character. The recycled bowling alley countertop is a great example of that.
Outside, the front deck offers views of the sunset over Town Mtn, and the back patio is a great place to grill, chill, and enjoy the quiet cove. You’ll forget you are just a few minutes from the heart of Asheville.
