We enjoyed our family vacation at Guntersville lake, especially with having a house with a pool and boathouse (it is a rather steep walk to the dock). We spent everyday on the rented pontoon boat and Sam was very helpful giving us information concerning the boat & the lake. Some of the furnishings in the house and patio are rather worn and there were only 4 drinking glasses & 3 mugs for the 8 people we had in the house (I would suggest bringing disposable cups). Also the main floor bedroom had hair in the shower drain, a lightbulb burnt out and no batteries in the remote control. But none of this kept us from having a great time.

Overall a good stay. We were not prepared for how much of a hill it would be to the boat dock everyday. The owner was very attentive to our needs, but was at the property every day. Our kids had to wait to get in the pool a couple times because the owner was doing something to it. It was overall clean and overall a nice house, but it could use some up keep work. The tiles around the pool were loose, etc. we were allowed to check in early which we loved. Overall a good stay, but would likely not stay again due to the steep incline of walking from the house to the boat house multiple times a day.

This house was perfect for our buddies golf trip! The access to a dock and the lake was a real bonus. We brought a boat and cruised every evening after finishing at the course.

We rented this house for a family get together in July. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing in the lake, grilling on the deck and playing in the spacious yard. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Sam was super accommodating and responsive!

Great Lake House

A very nice Lake House! Located on a peaceful section of the lake, very nicely landscaped and maintained. The online pictures were spot on, no surprises. Easy Lake access and having the boathouse available was great. Pool was a lot of fun. Overall, a great vacation spot. Can’t wait to go back

Celebrating Papaw’s 70th Birthday

We had a wonderful vacation on the lake. It was ideal for our group in the clean pool time. We had fun fishing and jet skiing during the day, and catching fireflies on the lawn at night. Whenever we had a question or issue, Sam was quick to respond and repair.

Wonderful vacation at the lake! Have been renting houses on Guntersville Lake for several years and this is the absolute best! The price is excellent, I have paid much more for less impressive rentals. The host is a great guy too! Sam told us about a great fishing spot which produced several large bass. I highly recommend this rental and plan to stay again next June!

Great weekend on the Lake

Took our family and a couple of friends to the lake for the weekend. Also rented a pontoon and jet ski. We had a great time. The house is super nice with room for everyone to spread out. We spent our days on the lake and our evenings lounging by the pool. The area was quiet even with Rock the Dock in town. Would definitely recommend this lake house.

Family weekend

This was a great place to stay…everything as advertised and easy to access. We rented a pontoon from Guntersville Boat Rental and used the boat house to keep it overnight. The kids had a ball, especially in the pool. Highly recommend this place!!

Not worth the money

When you spend over $3000 for a lake house, you would expect the place to be immaculate. On our way we spoke to the property manager. He spoke rather quickly and was giving a lot of information at once but ended with call me if you have any questions or concerns. When we first arrived to the house (30 minutes later), we were confused as to where to drop our boat and called back several times. No answer. We also text concerns and no response. The owner of the house lives next door. We told him the upstairs AC wasn’t working and his response was “Give it time to defrost. It is froze up.” Never saw or heard from him again. The furniture is worn. The kitchen and its pans for cooking are not clean. The bathrooms need serious updates. Flooring had holes. Only 1 roll of toilet paper was supplied per bathroom. The tiles around the pool are not glued down so it is very dangerous. The bottom floor bathroom was infested with centipedes. Also, the lake area where the house is the water is gross and not good for swimming. Lastly, there are slot machines where you play real money but there is no way to redeem your winnings. Scam slot machines.

Greenwood Lake House

The description of this house doesn't do it justice. There are actually 3 floors. The bottom floor includes a rec room and a bedroom. The main floor includes the kitchen, living area and master bedroom. Upstairs includes additional bedrooms. My granddaughters really enjoyed the pool. This area of the lake was relatively quite for a 4th of July week. The laundry room location, off the master bath, was inconvenient. I provided a short list of suggested improvements to the owner after we left and he quickly responded with a plan to improve.

In the 90's I was working as a factory outlets leasing agent and Boaz Alabama was fast becoming the top outlet center in the country so after living in Lake Tahoe for 15 years I decided with some persuasion from my son that it was time to relocate. Looking back there was a sign coming down the Mountain that said it best "Lake Guntersville one look and you're hooked" I will always remember the sign coming down the mountain into Guntersville and after spending less than a month in North east Alabama I returned to California for the birth of my daughter it was then that my Son Jesse Lee continued to ask if we could still go fishing in Alabama we loaded up and with a 1 month old baby girl and headed to Lake Guntersville
