The Company House was built in 1906 as part of the worker housing for the new Potlatch Forest Industries sawmill, located along the Palouse River in the valley to the west. The company eventually divested of its town houses, and in 2023, Paul and Vivian purchased the house. Their daughter Wendy and son-in-law Preston prepared the place and currently manage the day-to-day operations of the house. We are delighted that you chose to stay with us at The Company House! It was a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed it very much. I had a little problem, since recent surgery, navigating the stairs to and from the entry. Some hand rails would be helpful.Everything else was well thought out for a great visit.
We were visiting for graduation in Moscow. The Company House was the perfect home base for us. Far enough away to escape the chaos of graduation weekend, close enough to make it easy. The house was cozy for 2 of us, but had all the comforts of home. Wendy was a great host-great communication and very accommodating! Thanks for a short, but awesome trip.
Hard to summarize… this place is amazingly charming, thought out and whimsical! A lot of love put into this place and for their clientele! We will be back! Michelle and Bill Fugate
