About the host
Hosted by Chris
Hi, I'm Chris—a Superhost with 6 years hosting in Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands, where I've lived my whole life. I grew up exploring these woods and trails, and that love for the outdoors has taken me hiking and backpacking to new places across the country. Over the years I've been a welder, metal artist, and musician. I enjoy hosting because it lets me share this beautiful area with people who appreciate quiet escapes and nature. I take pride in creating welcoming, comfortable spaces and helping guests make the most of their stay.
Why they chose this property
I've lived in the area my entire life. It's a peaceful, wooded part of Pennsylvania with rolling hills, abundant wildlife, and the quiet beauty of nature all around. What I enjoy most is how close we are to the trails, reservoir, and open spaces—perfect for hiking, fishing, kayaking, or just relaxing in the fresh air. It's the ideal spot for anyone seeking a true escape from the everyday.
What makes this property unique
This tiny house stands out because it's a truly intimate, perch-like retreat—190 sq ft of cozy space elevated for breathtaking panoramic nature views that feel like you're floating in the trees. Guests love the covered porch with Adirondack chairs and outdoor fireplace for quiet evenings, plus the private fire pit for bonfires and stargazing. It's intentionally screen-free (no WiFi or TV) to encourage pure disconnection, yet fully comfortable with grid-powered essentials, a plush queen bed, compact kitchenette with filtered water on tap, and a walk-in shower. The short 350-ft uphill path adds to the immersive adventure, and being under 1 mile from Quemahoning Reservoir makes it an unbeatable base for peaceful escapes or outdoor activities. It's not just a stay—it's a small-space big-experience hideaway for couples or solo travelers seeking real recharge in the Laurel Highlands.
