SeaStar Lofts offer the only accommodations directly on the waterfront right in the heart of Eastsound Village, with waves lapping at your doorstep. The Leeward Studio is one of four guest apartments in the brand new Main Street Station, designed to complement beloved historic structures of Eastsound. This is a premium unit, with spacious open floor plan of 430 square feet, queen bed, pull-out sofa, fully equipped compact kitchen, view balcony, and nearby stairs to the gorgeous rocky beach. Architecturally crafted with attention to every detail, and all new furnishings in coastal, organic style we call 'beachy elegance.' The rooms highlight natural textures and products from local artisans. In Eastsound Village you will find all you need -- farmer's market, bookstore, kayak rentals, bicycles, grocery, natural foods, boutiques, gift shops, and more. In fact, you don't even have to bring a car! Skip the ferry lines and pack light, take a shuttle or taxi to Eastsound, and the rest of your trip is easy. Feel free to ask us for any other special details you may desire for your get-away. Simply the perfect spot for your Orcas Island adventure! Wow! What a perfect stay in a perfect location. We enjoyed the fresh, clean loft with a beautiful view. The locally roasted coffee that was provided was a very nice and thoughtful touch. Would absolutely recommend booking this spot if available.

Great loft apartment right on the water

We loved our stay at Sea Star lofts! We wanted to be right in town within walking distance and this was exactly what we needed. The loft is small, but the kitchen was well stocked, including a cooktop, pots, pans, and spices. The hosts even provided both regular and decaf coffee, and creamer in the fridge! Some reviews mentioned the restaurant next door being loud, but we didn't find it an issue at all. The evenings on the patio watching the sun go down were absolutely beautiful. The two upstairs lofts do share a balcony with just a half wall between, so if you are looking for a more private balcony the downstairs unit might be a better fit since it has the full width balcony. Thank you Wally and Susan for a wonderful stay!

Perfect location for food and shopping and a quick drive to all the hiking destinations. The view was fantastic! I would return again.

We really enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion would be to create a little more closet space to hang clothes. We had a hard time living out of our suitcases. What a perfect location though! Can't wait to come back.

Cute studio in heart of Eastsound

Very pleasant studio unit above the water. It was clean, quiet, with three units up and one down. We ate in for breakfast and lunch, but had dinner at Madrona restaurant next door. Good location for walking around Eastsound, driving to hike in Turtleback Preserve, and drive to Olga and around the island.

Great as Always

Third or fourth time we've stayed here. Great condos in an even greater location. On the water, nice view, walking distance to everything in town. Stayed with sister-in-law/husband and friends. Arrived Thanksgiving night, prepped a small turkey dinner, the kitchen made it easy to heat up. Owners are responsive and take pride in the location. Very clean and well appointed. Will continue staying here when we visit Eastsound. Thank you for the great weekend, we all had fun.

Room is lovely and just as photos showed, the view is amazing, the Owner very responsive.

The studio, view and Owner responsiveness are all pros as well as walking access to shops and restaurants. The negatives for us were the noise factors. There is a restaurant to the immediate right of the Leeward Suite, so all the laughter and voices from their outdoor deck carry right up to the Suite, the rooftop kitchen exhaust fan runs non-stop during business hours which makes relaxation on the balcony challenging. Big restaurant dumpsters are right below the Suite and are dumped quite noisely at 7:30 AM twice a week. You also have Suite neighbors - ours included a very large dog that naturally barked when needing something and a family downstairs with a screaming infant and energetic toddler who all enjoyed being on their patio until late in the evening right below our balcony. If commonplace noises like the ones described don't bother you, then this is a great place. If you are craving more quiet and contemplative surroundings, then you might want a different accommodation. A suggestion for the Owner would be to install door closer dampers so that the heavy front and side doors do not slam every time someone goes out. There is a note posted asking guests to close the doors quietly, but the note, unfortunately, is typically ignored.

It was very nice comfortable and had an excellent location . Just a short walk of everything you would need! Quiet and had a nice waterfront view! If I ever make it back to Orcas Island this is where I would stay .

This place has the most amazing views and it is located in the heart of Eastwood in Orcas Island. Everything is walking distance.The Vrbo is spacious, comfortable and beautiful. I will definitely book this again for another weekend getaway.

Lovely view. Balcony is very small. Unstable balcony table. No satellite receiver so couldn't get local channels. All in all we had a marvelous stay. Eastsound has much to offer.

Best Spot for Small Family

This property was perfect for our small family of three. Our daughter loved walking down to beach, and we enjoyed the convenient location with excellent views. We had a car, which was helpful for visiting Moran Park and going on excursions. But we were able to walk to dinner, shops & the grocery store. Our only mistake was not booking more nights - 2 nights is too short on Orcas Island!

The Leeward Studio is hands down, our favorite place to stay on Orcas! This was the fourth time my husband and I visited, and each time it just gets better. So clean, comfortable, and convenient. Nice, thoughtful touches, and a very responsive host. Every detail is well thought out. Right in the heart of Eastsound on the water’s edge and right across from Brown Bear Bakery!

Great studio overlooking the water. Plus, right in town but quiet. Location next to a restaurant so fans and venting from there created some smells and noise floating into this rental. But not an issue overnight.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property for love of the historic Porter Building, located next door. For years this portion was vacant, occupied by a parking lot and dumpsters. We dreamed of beautifying the shoreline, dedicating a beach access to the public and building stairs to the water. At last we've completed our vision with the 'Main Street Station.' SeaStar Lofts allows us to welcome travelers to our favorite place in the world.

What makes this property unique

We provide a complete living experience, with kitchens, washer/dryers, and everything you need for either a short visit or extended stay. Every convenience is just steps away, yet turn toward the water and the town melts away as you enjoy beautiful views, sounds of the surf and abundant wildlife.
