About this property

Moira Lake Waterfront Cottage in Madoc

Our rustic cottage is a three bedroom that sleeps adults and children comfortably. We are on Moira Lake, 5 minutes from the town of Madoc, 30 minutes north of Belleville. We have a screened in porch that seats the whole family. We have board games and a fire pit. We are on the lake, at the end of a tree-lined gravel road. You really feel like you’re out of the city, though only five minutes from the town of Madoc. There are popular restaurants nearby. Very nice souvenir shops are ten minutes away by car. The O’Hara Mill Homestead is a pioneer heritage site in a beautiful natural setting, ten minutes away. In town is the famous Centre Hastings Skatepark for BMX and skateboarders; a playground and splash park. There is also great golfing nearby. Fully equipped kitchen. City water supplied for drinking and cooking. Running, filtered lake water for dishes and showers. Please note that we have a composting toilet that is different from a regular water flushing toilet. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.

This cottage was great, cozy and clean and fit all 5 of us nicely. The view was spectacular, and the lake was nice and sandy. The kid's loved the canoe, kayak, and paddleboat. And the firepit by the lake was perfect. Lots of outdoor seating, and a spacious grassy area to play outdoor games of which there were many, also many indoor boardgames too. The town 5 mins up the road was super convenient and was quaint and friendly. The cottage had TV, and lots of DVD'S even VHS to choose from. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place if you enjoy a classic cottage experience!
