About this property

Seward Park 4BR — Private Basement Suite, Walk to Lake Washington

A 2,280 sq ft home in Seattle's Seward Park neighborhood, steps from Lake Washington and the Seward Park old-growth trail. Four bedrooms, a self-contained basement suite with its own living room, kitchenette, and full bathroom, and a private garden with patio. The layout works particularly well for two families traveling together or any group that wants privacy within a shared home — the basement suite operates independently from the main floor, with complete separation between the two spaces.

Seward Park is one of Seattle's best-kept secrets — 2.4 miles of lakeside trail through old-growth forest, kayak launches, swimming beaches, and some of the city's best dog-walking terrain, all within a 10-minute walk.

THE HOME

Two distinct living spaces across two floors — a main floor with three bedrooms and a full bathroom, and a self-contained basement suite below with its own king bedroom, full bathroom, kitchenette, living room, and dining area. The two spaces share the exterior entry but are otherwise fully independent. Groups can gather together or retreat to their own floor — it's a genuinely flexible layout that most 4BR homes don't offer.

Main floor:

Bedroom 1: Queen bed, closet, private en-suite bathroom
Bedroom 2: Queen bed, closet
Bedroom 3: Queen bed, closet
Shared full bathroom
Living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining area, patio access to private garden

Basement suite:

Bedroom 4: King bed, closet
Full bathroom with tub
Kitchenette
Living room
Small dining area
Fully self-contained with its own entrance feel

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Seward Park is one of Seattle's most beloved green spaces — a forested peninsula jutting into Lake Washington with a 2.4-mile loop trail, swimming areas, kayak and paddleboard launches, and some of the most pristine old-growth Douglas fir forest left in the city. The neighborhood around the park is quiet and residential, with Columbia City's restaurant row 10 minutes by car for evenings out.
