Beautiful space inside and out beside the owner’s home. The property is beautiful and secluded from the main road. The space inside is cozy. Perfect for my husband and me to attend a friend’s wedding at Barren Ridge Winery. It’s a beautiful area of the state and the country.

It was a great property very clean it had everything we could ask for. It was very easy to get to Waynesboro and Stanton from the property. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

This cottage was an absolutely gorgeous place to rest and escape for awhile. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely will plan another trip to the Frogmorton as soon as possible!

The cottage was perfect for a little getaway with my husband. We only stayed one night but would have been very happy here for longer. The house was cute, comfortable and super clean. The property was beautiful and quiet. We went to stable craft brewery for dinner which is 2 minutes away. The location felt remote but was only 10 minutes from main st waynesboro. Highly recommended place to stay!

First, you should know that the cottage living area is bigger than it looks in the pictures. I actually hesitated to reserve this location because the perspective in the pictures made it look a little small. (No criticism there, I know it can be hard to angle a camera to get everything you want in an image, especially internal shots around furniture.) It is definitely quiet in the morning, and I can confirm seeing deer. Crickets! I forget how I miss hearing crickets living in an apartment! There's enough comfortable seating for 3 (or 4 if there's a couple that wants to snuggle). The bathroom has all the basics, and be sure to check the closet if you are missing a toothbrush or need a shower cap or want to pick from a selection of body wash/shampoo. The kitchen is standard size for a unit like this. It's got space for prepping a small meal. Plenty of pillows and extra blankets. The owner's house is nearby, but except for seeing their cars, I didn't know they were there. (I'm a "likes to be alone" traveler, so that works for me. But I did see other guests talk about how approachable they are, so don't worry about this if you enjoy the interaction.) Between the extreme heat and significant rain, I sadly didn't get to use the hammock or walk the grounds. Madison was very responsive to my messages and sent significant information before arrival.

Music festival vacation

The cottage location was just 8 miles from the music venue. It was located on a property historic local renown.It was quiet and secluded, surrounded by wide lawns and forest. Deer walked by each morning. Our hosts were readily available for any concerns of ours, but left us to ourselves as we explored the property with their invitation.All in all, a very nice place to stay.

We took a day trip from Richmond traveling 250 (Broad St) the entire way on a beautiful Fall day, knowing that we would end the evening at this delightful little cottage, It is exactly as pictured and more. From a nicely stocked kitchen and extras in the bathroom if you forgot something, like toothpaste. We visited a few antique shops, a winery, and finished our day trip from Richmond at Chiles Orchards before heading to Frogmorton. We had dinner a mile away at Stablecraft Brewery. That was a bit disappointing, so I do suggest looking for another dinner spot or managing dinner at this quaint little cottage. Madison was helpful and quick to reply to my email about our entrance as I forgot the instructions. 5 stars for this little gem.

What makes this property unique

I live in the main house of this beautiful historic property with my husband. He and I wake up every morning feeling blessed to call Frogmorton home. I love that I'm surrounded by 15 acres of pine trees and all of the deer and other wildlife that live among them. We hope to offer our cottage to somebody that appreciates the beautiful surroundings of our area and appreciates the quiet, laid-back way of life we are fortunate to enjoy in Augusta County.

We have 2 dogs who are friendly and on leads while we have guests. We also have two barn cats that roam the property, keeping to themselves. Lastly, we have an apiary that houses two bee colonies, but this sits far enough from the cottage that no interactions should be encountered.

We look forward to continuing to share our property with guests passing through.
