This Rustic Remote cabin was built in 1925 and is located in the Sequoia National Forest which is the home of various wild life such as deer, turkeys, bears and more. Exercise reasonable caution if you encounter wildlife. It is 10.7 miles (approx 23 minutes) from the Visitor Center in Grant Grove Village in Kings Canyon Nat'l Park and less than 20 miles (approx 30 minutes or less traveling on Generals Hwy through the park) to Sequoia Nat'l Park and Shermans Tree. Located off of main road No long dirt driveways to go down. Please be sure to park in your designated parking area. There will be a marker displaying Stansfield Cabin. This clean and cozy cabin sleeps 2. Window unit AIR CONDITIONER IN BEDROOM! Amenities include Wi-Fi, Smart TV, formal dining room, basic stocked kitchen, deck Apartment size refrigerator, Micro-wave and smaller size oven. Cabin has breakfast nook, living area and restroom. This cabin is surrounded by giant evergreen trees. If allergies are a problem, this cabin may not be for you. Cabin is Easy Self-Check In. Single night stays welcome as well as 2, 3, 4, & 5 night stays. In case of snow, snow shovels are provided for guest to use. NO smoking of any kind anywhere on this property in the cabin or outside. The cutest cabin, with so much history and interesting decor! Had everything we needed and strong AC for the bedroom. Great hot shower too, and lots of fun games to play. I would love to stay here again in the winter someday.

Such a cute and rustic little cabin! Perfect for lovers of unique spaces and history. It has a lot of little quirks that a modern home doesn't, but I loved staying here and experiencing them all. The back deck was lovely too. It's a perfect for exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon, and a few doors down from a great new market where you can get groceries, gifts, maps, etc.

On the top of the list for stays! Adorable cabin with charm and lots of history and you can tell the love it's been given. Fully equipped with everything you may need- charming decor and a definite plus across the street from Pinehurst Bar- we really enjoyed the staff and food. Highly recommend and hope we can return someday!

We enjoyed staying in this charming rustic cottage well located near the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park. A special treat was our quiet meals on the back deck surrounded by trees. It was fun reading little notes about the cottage history left by the owner.

The cabin is rustic. It has great charm and a cozy vibe, but I expected it to be more secluded. The neighbors are VERY close.Because the cabin is over 100 years old, electrical outlets are at a premium. If you're older, like my husband and I, negotiating for CPAP power took some ingenuity.

Knowing that you have a special circumstance you should have checked with host before making your booking regarding your CPAP machine power usage. If you are concerned about proximity of neighbors you should have inquired about this before making your booking. We should not be rated down because you failed to check first with host regarding your special accommodations.

The cabin is beautifully decorated, with historic memoriabilia, and in a beautiful space! It made for such an interesting stay! It's comfortable, with an original footed tub, the cutest kitchen ever, and a very comfortable living room. It's located just across the street from the Pinehurst Lodge, making grabbing a meal very convenient. The host was responsive, and check-in was very easy - she provided all of the needed information before I arrived. Would definitely stay there again!

The cabin was so adorable. They provided a bunch of games which helped during the storm we were stuck inside for the day. The fireplace and heaters made it super cozy. Definitely an original, old school cabin. Will stay again if I ever get back there.

Loved staying at this cozy cabin located so closely to King's Canyon entrance. Even with temperatures outside in the 30s it was plenty warm inside with the heaters, extremely clean with a dining area, full kitchen and comfortable bed. Can't wait to come back!

Comfortable, cozy authentic historical cabin near Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Feels like home away from home. The lighting is very relaxing, chandeliers, sconces. The bed is very comfortable. The deck is lovely to eat at and the grill is fantastic. We saw a shooting star. The road we took to get there was a mountain pass and such a lovely drive. It’s very convenient and provides a wonderful home base. Original claw foot bathtub, farm sink, and shutters over old fashion hopper and awning windows add to the vibe. Decor is adorable and cozy, creating comfort and atmosphere. It’s part hunting lodge decor with furs, antlers, etc.It’s thoughtful and considered. There was a lovely gift/beverage in the kitchen. Do pack the food you need, because the nearest store in well into the park. Pack a cooler and things like olive oil, creamer, ketchup, garlic and anything you need. The lodge across the street is good, but it was slow and under-prepared the night we were there. Although the tacos and Western burger were good. Also the prices online are not updated. Great for beer. We were a bit anxious as someone had left the tv on and something creepy was on tv, the driveway has an extreme angle for a sedan so I recommend driving in at an angle to avoid scrapping the bottom of your car. We stumbled with the lock system a bit. But all in all it was fantastic! So grateful for this rare gem!
