This was our third stay at Camellia Cottage. We have enjoyed each stay. The home is clean and comfortably appointed. It’s in a great location with lots of restaurants, shopping, etc within easy walking distance. The host has been easy to contact and work with on the reservations and anything we might need. We will stay there again!

This is a delightful cottage very close to the circle, ships and restaurants in Monticello. It is clean and very comfortable, stocked with everything we needed. There are even usb hubs and cords for device charging. Honestly, I felt like the owners had thought of every detail. We’ll be back to stay again!

We rented because it was wheelchair accessible. The shower was wonderful. The toilet was low, and was unable to use. We spent first night and found another accommodation. The road noise the only night we stayed was loud even with the white noise on our phone.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the location's noise level and the toilet height. We strive to provide a detailed, accurate description of the property—including its proximity to the road—and photos of all rooms to ensure guests are well-informed before booking. We are glad you enjoyed other aspects of the cottage and appreciate your comments.

About the host

Host profile image
I'm always up for coffee, family, & friends. I love providing a unique, cozy, friendly, & convenient space for folks to enjoy. The property is perfectly imperfect, and we're continually improving for our guests. We love sharing this unique piece of history in historic Monticello, Florida.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Monticello's downtown years ago. We enjoy having so many restaurants and shops within walking distance in the downtown area. Great food options, and my wife and kids like antiquing, treasure hunting, and plant shopping,

What makes this property unique

Camellia cottage is in historic downtown. We like it's compact footprint and big feel, and we like that it's historic yet provides modern conveniences like the mini-split air conditioner that has it's line-set inside as to not detract from the home's original historic look. There are many beautiful historic homes. Be sure to take a stroll along Monticello's historic walking tour.
